  1. Both my babies would have come out just fine if I were a Stone Age mother, or just birthed in a field, but I would have taken myself out and my mother with me if that was the case for her. And how did mothers stop their toddlers from constantly eating rocks and leaves? I will never know.

  2. Was hoping it'd be on an app I already use. Ah well, time to pull out of port and sail the Bato seas lol

  3. Are you sure ? I'm actually rereading it in English on Bato. Write the title on google + " chapter bato" maybe

  4. Whyyyy do people buy unique beautiful things and then want to destroy them? If you didn’t want it you shouldn’t have bought it. Someone else would have appreciated that beautiful room 😩

  5. Until you have kids. Then one of you is taking on that burden alone.

  6. Just curious overall, how is the story’s pace and development? Is it still interesting? Does it ever stale? Do the characters go through development? How do they deal with the dragons, soo- won and Lily?

  7. Some arcs are better than others. It feels like the final arc right now. I really liked the last one too. The characters all have their own development, some more than others. Soo-won is a frenemy. You find out a lot about why he betrayed King Il and Yona, I still don’t personally forgive him but it’s clear the story wants you to sympathize. The whole story is definitely not stale and I am currently so sad I’m all caught up!

  8. I read somewhere that her part sounds like a reprise of her own song, but because the story is focused on Odysseus we never hear her pov

  9. Yes it does make us as listeners pine for more time with her, and that reflects Odysseus’ feelings as well. It’s a good mirroring experience.

  10. Beauty standards are based around the patriarchy. Society telling us aging woman aren’t beautiful is rooted in the idea that little girls are the pinnacle of femininity. Big eyes, perfectly smooth skin, hairless bodies, even naive and sweet views on life are all typical for young girls. When you look different from this youthful appearance, society might even try to take away your status as a woman. It’s completely normal that hair thins, noses and ears grow, bodies get softer, with age. For all humans! But sometimes society says these traits look “manly.” Pop culture and beauty standards describe a very narrow definition of womanhood, and an aging woman struggles to fit that description. This outlook minimizes the experience of womanhood.

  11. You could say “she is a live woman” though! Under strange and specific circumstances. Like a live tiger or a live bear.

  12. My partner like them and keeps wanting to watch, but gore porn is just not my thing and I hate every one of these movies.

  13. I’m too sensitive. It made me sad when the mom found her daughter :(

  14. The fact that you think so little of him makes me wonder why you’re still married 💀 have you considered couples therapy? (It should be with a different T then the one you see 1:1)

  15. He’s a great person, he’s gentle and patient, he’s funny and sweet. Going out on family outings, vacations, dates, is tons of fun. He is understanding when I’m mad and comforting when I’m sad. He has never yelled at me, berated me, or done anything cruel. He has a warm, genuine connection with our children based on respect and love. We have the same political and social views. When it comes to grand gestures he will almost always say yes, he once drove 13 hours to pick up an abandoned rabbit for me. And held me when I cried about the babies a rabbit had who died.

  16. I think it’s wonderful you have so many positive things to say about your partner and relationship. We all have flaws. We can be irritated beyond belief by a flaw but still love that person and still have an overall good relationship. It’s just learning how to work through those issues the flaws create, and working on improving them. I think it’s great you’re in therapy and trying to sort out this issue.

  17. Thank you, that is so helpful. I think you are exactly right about her intentions, I will ask her to clarify some supports that feel sustainable across the dynamic.

  18. We just did this trip two weeks ago. We grabbed lunch at Seis Kitchen at the Mercado (right off the 10 and has a great outdoor area). Buy pastries at La Estrella next door. Bisbee Grand hotel allows dogs in the area by the bar. Good burgers there. Bisbee Brewery has a great outdoor area too. Bisbee is very dog friendly. Buy a dessert at Patisserie Jacqui. Edited: also drive 5 minutes east and check out Erie Street in Lowell. It’s Mayberry on acid.

  19. Thank you for this advice! I was looking at Seis kitchen, it looks perfect for on the way!

  20. I live in Tucson and recommend swinging by a place called Ensenada Street tacos. Great food. Outdoors. Dog friendly.

  21. Alright you guys convinced me, we will stop in Sonoita too!

  22. Rabbits are not “low maintenance,”- when people think they are, it’s because they don’t realize what kind of care they actually need to live full, happy lives. Not a judgment on you- that’s super common, including/ especially among people who had them as children (whose parents didn’t have access to better info, either). Rabbit care standards have come a long way. Bunnies are wonderful, but if cared for correctly, they’re just as much work as dogs- kind of like dogs who don’t need to be taken for walks, but stay puppies forever and need almost as much living and indoor exercise space and have the same or higher healthcare expenses and need high levels of attention, too.

  23. I have a rabbit and will never have one again. They are like a puppy and cat combined. So destructive and so sassy 😅

  24. Yes but they are still complex human beings capable of the same level of thought and feeling as someone from a more developed area.

  25. Yeah just imagine looking at the sky every single night without any light contamination. Maybe they didn’t have to worry about taxes or giving a public presentation but their life probably didn’t lack any humanity in them

  26. Yes, I think people are getting hung up on our modern lifestyle as “complex”, but tribal people whether they are from 100 years ago or 100,000 were not “simpler people.”

  27. Kudos to the woman cop who ran towards danger and ended his rampage. I hope she is doing ok.

  28. She stalked him through the mall on her own and shot him in the chest. An absolute warrior goddess.

  29. Something I've found that helps with repeating bad memories is to imagine them playing on a really tiny tv with loads of static. Imagine the picture quality and sound get super distorted and become impossible to recognise.

  30. Yes! You can also try adding silly things around the mental image like put Mickey Mouse stickers all over it and add a squirrel. Just nonsense. Each time you think of it, add those nonsense details until the mental image you default to is the distorted one. Edit: I don’t know if that’s a professionally supported tip, it’s just something I do for my own traumatic memories that helps me.

  31. "First grade expectations are that children have some basic reading and math skills"- given descriptions of kids coming into public schools as well as actual assessments of early reading and math skills that seems better described as "wild aspirations" than "expectations".

  32. I am a kinder teacher. Kindergarten is no longer play based. And hasn’t been for atleast a decade. Like not even a little bit. If your kiddo can’t read and write in first grade they will be placed in rti and flagged as behind grade level from day one.

  33. Most children go to kindergarten and do learn to read and write before 1st grade. Or they are behind. They may catch up. Or not! Yes they will probably graduate from each grade level regardless, falling farther and farther behind. There is a war in the world of public education literacy about this very problem. The early grades push academics too fast, the later grades push academics to lax. No accountability for any student so that middle schoolers and high schoolers are almost illiterate. Yep. That is a problem! That’s why I’m a teacher in the homeschool sub.

  34. That's not youthful misbehavior. That's cruel to the extreme and shows a remarkable lack of empathy for that age. Are you still a shit person? I'm guessing the answer is yes, and that you express it differently now.

  35. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Everything you’ve said shows the mirror in your own face.

  36. Learn from your mistake, but don’t be too hard on yourself. Children at 7-8 years old have not even come close to finished in developing impulse control and emotional regulation. That’s what a good grown up should have done for you. Children do not think things through, especially in the moment, including the ability to stop a fun game because of empathy. Adults will say “ I’d never do anything like that!” But adults have selective memory and different life experiences.

  37. 1000 homeless souls died last year due to the heat in Phoenix metro.

  38. It’s so cheap and performative I’m not religious but I’m angry on their behalf. There is very little in the Bible that supports corporate capitalist greed. Cherry picking to manipulate voters…and it works! Ffs it works every time…

  39. Not me reading this post while sitting on my green velvet couch. 🫣 I agree that it will likely be a little "of an era" eventually but I'm enjoying it for now!

  40. I also have a green couch but it’s not quite velvet!

  41. Well I do have two green velvet chairs from IKEA

  42. Coffee, cheesecake, a book right at the climax (of the plot)

  43. I like bluey it’s a really sweet show and the least annoying thing my 2 and 6 year old agree on.

  44. Corporations throw out so much usable waste that anything you personally trash is negligible. It doesn’t matter. Throw it out. As a society can we can strive to be better, and make environmentally friendly decisions but I promise promise promise that you throwing out half used or old items once in a while doesn’t make or break nature at all. Businesses and lobbyists have tricked the general public into feeling shame over something that they are doing 1000x over.
