Curran used to be super well connected in the 2000s and 2010s. I can't remember who the insiders he had were, but they've mostly left. I believe he still has a few friends inside, along with Phil Perry who is regularly talking to players and staff. He used to be a sure thing, but isn't anymore. More often than not, he's credible. He can.be prone to some hot takes, but usually only doing so with some kind of legitimate source backing an element of it.

So we have Brisset, Zappe and Maye. 2 have proven something in the NFL. 2 have had time to be in our facilities and do NFL things, which counts for something. The rookie is a rookie, which means rookie treatment. He's QB3 right now because he hasn't proven different. He hasn't had the chance to, but that's no one's fault. It is what it is.

Hindsight is 20/20. It seems obvious now, and the run was kind of hinted at vaguely with talks of JJ going higher. I think ATL freaked the fuck out of MIN with their wild Penix pick and drove the run into high gear.

You switch to Maye when the staff is comfortable he can handle it. Jacoby knows exactly why he's here. He's here to bridge for Maye. Zappe is here as insurance in case Brisset goes down and Maye isn't ready yet. Ideally, you put Maye in in a game that's decided early so he can get live reps. It will be obvious to the opposition coach who will likely play backups to help ease Maye in more smoothly.

I think there's a slight difference in going hard vs hitting hard. I know it seems identical, but I Really Want to Stay at Your House hits hard. Resist and Disorder goes hard. One feels like being punched, the other makes me wanna punch something.

I think you go an entirely different cast of characters. I'm not sure that Deacon, Bozeman, or Sarah are really interesting enough anymore. We learned so much about them that there wouldn't really be that much to discover of major intrigue. Maybe we get to meet up with then at some point, but I'd rather get new characters.
