I think people also overestimate how f2p/beginner friendly this game is. It’s f2p/beginner friendly in the sense that the non gacha options are shockingly powerful, but the gacha stuff is not accessible at all. Sure everything is farmable, but it takes forever to obtain. I started around 2 weeks before the blade linage stuff, and didn’t buy the battle pass since the egos are mid and I didn’t want to pay full price for something I’d only get “half” value out of. Currently I have 1 full team and 0 Egos. There’s no strategy for me, I can’t team build around the boss’s weaknesses because I have no options. I’m lucky that the bl team is so busted it can work against pretty much anything, but imagine if I had invested in like, a burn team with no ego.
Dont worry, it will appear in fights in future for sure! To be deleted later when some streamer who never played a game more complex than match 3 complains that his underleveled team couldnt winrate the fight.
Genuinely though what did thorns add to the fight? If you attacked her while she has all her protection thorns is doing a whopping 1 damage back. All it did was punish you for correctly eliminating her hands and then attacking her, which frankly was stupid
It’s an especially ridiculous comparison because tiers don’t even affect standard play. Whether a Mon is OU or PU doesn’t affect OU. All smogon’s tiering system does is create new formats you can play in.
Why not? They encourage diversify in interaction and less all in endboards while having clear weaknesses (semi brick in multiples and have no use going first)
That misses the point entirely. They encourage diversity in the forms of interaction. More backrow, or handtraps, or gy effects. Or a midrange deck which would survive having their board broken. Just being unreactable doesn’t determine whether something is bad or well designed, and the kaijus are incredibly well designed
She’s actively forcing Freiren to continue their journey at a reasonable pace instead of holeing up in a library for years so probably not a shutin. On the other side both love sweets judging by how much tea parties patchi attends
Pelipper is there for the obvious reason, it’s the best option for setting rain, I chose Ice Beam over surf dor coverage. Barraskewda is also pretty obvious, going in and sweeping, not reslly a mistery. I thought about switching band for life orb. Zapdos is here to abuse hurricane and thunder, and to be a bulky offense mon. Scizor is hazard removal and more reliable priority, especially for Azumarill. Greninja is one of my favorite pokemon, and it works well with rain. It is very good in cleaning late game with battle bond. Latios is usually my lead to get an instant KO with Draco, and good coverage and power, very useful in removing threats. Edit: I love Gren, but if it’s bad I’m OK on changung it.

Spark being defined by spikes is an interesting case. In earlier gens Skarm is just an extremely solid defensive Pokémon, spikes or no spikes. However in the modern gens after 8 skarm is suddenly a lot more defined by spikes because of corv. Corv pretty much outclasses Skarm in every way save for spikes, so most of skarm’s usage is based off this
this isn't true, Skarmory has higher physical bulk and stronger Body Presses, while Corv is more specially bulky with access to pivoting. they have different reasons to include them on a team
While Skarm is marginally better in some non spike related areas they overall do not justify it over corviknight most of the time. It’s especially true in metas where body press is not even run, such as with boots pult and water oger forcing brave bird more often
Even then though I’d argue cyber is just an amazing support unit. Just one cyberpunk is 50% slow uptime into most units. That’s a crazy amount of slow for “just” 3.75k.
Sneasler is the only Pokemon that can learn it, and the way Smogon bans work is that even if it's very obviously the move's fault (Last Respects) the Pokemon is banned too (Houndstone)
Dire claw doesn’t really break snealser, as many sets dropped it all together. Gunk shot at +2 has some much better rolls which lets it ohko important Pokémon

Absolutely Dark Magician (Blue-Eyes isn't edgy enough for him). He would convince himself that it's actually good, and that he's going to be the one to finally find the build of it that catapults it to tier-0.
While this does sound very funny dark magician doesn’t seem like the kind of deck berdly would play. Setting eternal soul and dark magical circle then passing doesn’t fit berdly. He plays the most gas balls to the walls combo deck that loses to any handtrap.

Who cares if you can search a 4k beat stick if doesn’t do anything? Yes I could search a 4k worth of battle damage, or I could search an unchained card, do the entire unchained line, and end up with more than 4k worth of damage and actual interaction. Numeron is “good” because it puts 15k worth of damage on field and can convert to an apo. 4k that only works in trap decks is nowhere near broken

You still could link climb to at least a 3 mat apo fairly easily and insulate your combo from handtraps. The real issue is having to run 5 garnets
