Thank you!! This card is from a series of promos that were each included with a respective manga volume in a series called "Pokemon Card Ni Natte Wake." The manga is illustrated by the card artist- the very talented Kagemaru Himeno!
The eventual goal for this guy is to swap it to a hoop once it's healed, but I wanted to get a piece of jewelry I could wear pretty much anywhere, so I got this little yellow gold double triplet.
I had one of mine redone a couple months ago as it was pierced just a little too deep the first time for my liking. I let the piercing heal about a month after taking out the old bar. The second go around was noticeably more painful for me, but I particularly think that was because the piercer went a bit more slowly than usual to match the angle of my other piercing and make sure he was at the right depth! Even despite that, it was still over before I knew it and the piercer was screwing the balls on the barbell.
I had a very similar experience to you!! I got my nipples pierced in August and started suspecting that one might have been just a wee bit too deep a few days in, but decided to see if it was swollen/irritated and waited it out. I also was worried about offending the piercer if I suggested it was pierced too deep, so I got another opinion from a second shop. Because of how different the shape can be when erect vs not, the placement looked perfect to the second piercer in person, but when I showed a photo of my nipple when it wasn't erect, he agreed that it might have been a little deep, but said it could heal.
I bought a fancy gold, textured Ooyama's Pikachu custom card. The texture on it was just so neat, and it's my favorite card, so I was super excited to add it to my collection, even if it's fake!
