  1. You're welcome! My sister was looking at a "beagle" puppy online today & said it doesn't look at all like one. Then I told her about your post.

  2. Eek! Yeah you just never know what you are going to get lol. We adopted an elderly ‘rat terrier’ years ago and she turned out to be full jack russell lol

  3. I would tell Jane not to eat the soup. There is a theory that she got postnatal food poisoning and the vomiting dislodged a clot which killed her. Have some fruit, love

  4. That is sooooo not what I thought you were referring to😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

  5. Best of luck to you! I hope you get the program of your dreams! I'm nearing the end of my PhD journey and often fantasize that it was in history so i envy you.

  6. Thank you very much! And good luck for whatever comes after your PhD, I dream of the day I'm in your shoes :)

  7. Thank you! You will be there before you know it! Time flies once the courses are done and Candidacy achieved :)

  8. That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve seen in a long time

  9. My family has used kitchenaid mixers for ages. They last forever. The rare time someone has ventured into a different brand it doesn't last long or does not work as well.

  10. As kids, we used to collect these off the trees and make armies with them.

  11. Unrelated: How did you have 42 unopened completed tasks?! Or was that part of the glitch?

  12. I collect the stuff i can use in the moment. Much of it i save till end of ticket such as tcash. I always save barn expansions till end of ticket so i do not struggle when the barn shrinks. It has helped tremendously 😁

  13. Best: A student asked for an extension for an assignment last minute. He said he was hanging out in a park and a car drove by and started shooting. He was hit with a bullet in the leg. He called 911 and was rushed to the hospital.

  14. My dad wanted to call me Jennifer (he had an ex with that name). Thankfully, my mother was as horrified as I continue to be so it did not happen.

  15. In addition to everything else here, Henry was married to KoA for over 20 years - none of his other marriages lasted more than three. The mere fact that he was putting a loyal wife aside that he was believed to have been in love with after so long a marriage was a BFD.

  16. I tried watching, couldn't get more than 10 minutes in. It was late though, so maybe I'll give it another try?

  17. My mom has a box full of knitting needles, which I’ve copied and now I have a box full of crochet hooks. Not the most practical but my bunnies can’t run off with them this way

  18. Bunnies are pretty much exactly like cats (just less violent with claws and teeth)! They run off with balls of yarn, socks, candy, anything they can get a hold of. One of them even ran off with a notebook once. I love them so much and find it very funny :’)

  19. Most works are going to focus on Jane rather than her sisters. IMO Eric Ives is one of the very best Tudor historians and he has a major work on Jane that will likely include any extant documentary evidence about her family.

  21. PhD candidate/teaching assistant. I'm in disease prevention. Crochet really helps my stress🤣

  22. Sorry to hop on this post, but I start my PhD in the fall. What are some things to look for that make a good advisor, and what are some red flags to avoid?

  23. Definitely don't be a guinea pig. I was matched with my advisor because I knew her from undergrad. It seemed like a good fit, but turns out I was her first PhD student. It was an absolute nightmare in a ridiculous number of ways.

  24. I hope you have a wonderful experience! Keep your eye on the ultimate goal, but set small goals as you move through your program so you retain a sense of accomplishment and reduce how overwhelmed you will feel.
