  1. I really like this theory! It adds a lot more nuance to KL and the rat grinders than I've seen a lot of posts give. There's a lot of folks making her seem like one of the top villains in D20 history based on... just getting a bad vibe from her. It's left a bad taste in my mouth. I have a hard time imagining Brennan making her a complete villain given how compassionately he portrays Jawbone talking about her. Personally I'm leaning hard on "unknowing lackey" for the RGs

  2. I saw this on Facebook and had completely forgotten about it until then, but Jace Stardiamond was part of the conversation with Kalina and Arianwen. Ragh saw all three of them, so Ragh is the only one who’s seen Jace and Kalina together, which could explain why Kalina was saying “Ragh”. Our intrepid heroines unfortunately appear to have all forgotten, which makes sense with how long it’s been.

  3. This is what I'm betting on. Though one small correction: Ragh saw Jace and Arianwen talking to someone invisible, then later Porter and Jace came up to him and Porter insisted that he get some kind of Barbarian blood healing. Later that night as he was walking back, Kalina threatened him

  4. 2 would be amazing and I would love for that to happen. I adore the night yorb mini and would love to see it reappear

  5. On your 3rd point, the open questions I would have are why Lucy's body ended up being marked specifically in a way that connects them to Arkarna, and then why did the same thing happen to Yolanda?

  6. Very much agreed! That's been what I've been cooking with for a couple of episodes now... another detail I'll point out is that Kalina specifically needed it to work with non-humanoids. That doesn't line up with Jace or Porter, BUT if they are connected to the devils at the hotel cavalier, who are probably connected to Arkana (who has been established to have fiendish associations via Bakur) that possibly checks out

  7. The one I'd shell out for would be a Starstruck book - maybe a bit more wiggle room since it's SW5e? I can dream...

  8. Wait but how did Porter have it?

  9. We don't know! Which I find deeply suspicious, the descriptor we have:

  10. I've seen a couple of takes on the spy's tongue curse, but one thing I want to point out that I haven't seen yet: WHO was the other party that Kalina was preparing it for?

  11. Uh yeah that's all I got, it's the only part I really remember.

  12. Nope! But thanks for the guess! Singer had a higher pitch, and this was more of a pop song than rock

  13. I don't know if they have an album like what you are describing... but any chance it's The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus? Their big album would have been 2006 or so

  14. I'm glad someone is noticing it! It's definitely mean behavior on behalf of the bad kids for not a whole lot of solid reason - mostly a conflict that seems to spring from the group's current insecurities (Fig struggling with her sophmore album compared to Ruben having a (admittedly awful) hit. The conversation they had at the student election sign ups with Kipperlilly reminded me A LOT of Rizz's meeting of Penelope and Dane when they were handing out their prom flyers

  15. All I know is I can't wait to see the custodian, Kasavian the Wise

  16. Agreed! Also really want to meet the drivers Ed teacher (who based on name alone might also be a monk?)

  17. Good thought pulling up those images! I don't believe ghost is an official 5e race, (though please correct me if wrong) BUT there is a subrace for halflings called ghostwise...

  18. For inspiration on having a specific group concept that still lets people have some individuality: Coriolis has group concepts, one of which (explorers) does have an example of journalism. I'm playing a game right now where out group is generally themed around archeology, and I think as a system Coriolis does a good job of allowing people to branch into a lot of different roles to fit whatever archetype or background they want to portray.

  19. I thought Hawaii people had there own language? Surprised that Japanese would be higher.

  20. I actually think it's plausible. I used to live on Oahu and there was a lot of articles about the native Hawaiian language effectively "dying" since having someone 100% Hawaiian ancestry is super rare now (most folks I know had Philippines, Japanese, Korean, Chinese ancestry as well). Even folks who don't have Japanese heritage still might pick up the language for the tourism industry (a LOT of Japanese tourists)

  21. Cardboard corner has board games, ttrpgs, war games, a mini painting community... among other things

  22. I’ve said it before on similar posts but The Seven is so special to me because it really resonated with the best parts of my experience of young womanhood. It centers female friendships that are healthy and mutually supportive, without the lens of masculinity that can often center women’s stories around their relationships with men. The girls are allowed to be unhinged and imperfect, in the ways that are really liberating to see in an actual play space. Relationships are pursued but they aren’t the point of the story, which lots of female-targeted media does.

  23. Hi out of curiousity: why you can’t relate to it? What was your experience like?

  24. Hmmm, it's hard to articulate. That's part of the reason why I made the post

  25. Yup a ton! A lot of folks will point you in the direction of other intrepid hero seasons, but the side quests also have some great mini sets! Escape from the Bloodkeep is my personal favorite

  26. I think this is right, but someone can correct me if not!

  27. The only thing I would add is that there probably should be a * by mice and murder. The game itself was played on virtual, but they did have physical mini cutaways

  28. Glad to see someone else who struggled with the seven. In most of the tier lists I've seen its always at the very top. Agree with you that Sam is the highlight of the cast

  29. Fey and Flowers is now firmly on the must watch list. I thought Unsleeping City would be gritty, but if it's urban fantasy, I could see that working.

  30. Unsleeping city was my first season, and it has a special place in my heart because of it. I wouldn't call it gritty by any means, personally I'd argue the 1st season has the best overall cast of characters

  31. i feel like i’m going to take a beating on this one, but acoc is my least favorite intrepid heroes season. it’s so heavy, and there’s so much party conflict, and after a certain point it feels like every decision is being made from such a raw, wounded place that it even sucks the joy out of the victories. it’s fantastic storytelling and worldbuilding and roleplaying but it’s the only one i haven’t been able to rewatch. i agree with most everyone else here, a starstruck odyssey is where you want to start.

  32. Agreed. I still haven't completed it. I really admire how much hard work and energy it has as a project... but it's hard to get in that headspace. Most days after work I just want a good laugh!

  33. I'm not a fan of the too emotionally heavy shows (looking at you aCoC) - but I'll give this a shot. Excited to see Aabria doing straight dnd

  34. I think there's potential. The Christmas one-shot still left things on the table that could be explored in a second season. Plus the smaller cast size should (hopefully)? Make it easier to gather folks together

  35. Roundcircle for strike? Maybe its some kind of rotating DM game raising funds for the SAG strike. Pins might be for fundraiser purposes
