I think this is the best tier list so far. I'd make a couple changes (genji lower, moira lower, torb higher), but seems to be the most accurate of all the ones I've seen.
I see y'all Houston fans in every thread complaining about the Plat Chat bracket obviously not having watched the episode and hearing us say "something has to go unpredictably wrong, sorry Houston" meaning we thought it'd be an upset, not actually considering Dallas the favorites in the H2H

This episode was definitely one where we spent an unusual long amount of time talking about non-gameplay topics, but I think we're also exploring ways the podcast can talk more about stuff that is not strictly Overwatch League for 2-3 hours. Whether that's spending more time on Overwatch the game, the game's balance and heroes, or in this case industry news that impacts us and the league.
As someone whos interest in OWL goes up and down pretty often, I still enjoy listening to all of you guys' perspective on the game whether its on OWL or on the game as a whole. Personally I enjoy it more when you go in depth on how you think the game should be designed and the direction its taken rather than just talking about Proper pounding every game and Vegas being dogshit. I think Overwatch is at its best when it isn't taken as hardcore analysis because honestly I don't think anyone cares outside of the 10 people on this forum. You guys are at your best when your personality and humor shines and I have been really enjoying the tier lists and even the ranting about PvE.
Probs gonna show my age with that but it's gotta be the first time we saw western and kr teams clash. It had Lunatic Hai, Kongdoo sailor uniforms and Evermore, EnvyUs, Rouge and just so many fun moments. Def still my fav Overwatch arc(episode?).
I actually made it a point to pretty much every time we were in the Blizzard Arena in 2019 to just take the moment in and absorb what was going on. I had done some freelance work in CSGO, HotS, Dota 2 etc. and that arena was just absurd and I know it wasn't going to last forever, too good to be true. I look back at it very happy I got to experience that.
Don't listen to the Overwatch Plat Chat version those guys just spew hot takes and don't know what they're talking about, everything went downhill after Sideshow and Bren left
While some of the statements might be akin to what Danteh said, the way you've stated these things bluntly, it lacks the nuance and context of the actual discussion and comes across as a roast and harsher criticism than it actually was imo. I'd rather you just post the actual clip to our podcast so people can hear it themselves.
I didn't consider how this could disincentivize players from sharing their thoughts. I think you're absolutely right there. I just wanted to stir up some fun rivalry between Defiant and Glads this year.
Yup, all good, I think the rivalry will be fun and looking forward to it, just my opinion but I think hearing stuff like this directly from players tweets/video interviews might make it easier for fans/readers to correctly assess what was said in what nuance. No big deal!
In order to maintain integrity of the award, I would like to remind Plat Chat that "Anybody who has ever gotten married, or anybody who will get married in the future" has already won Bren's Player of the Week in episode 120. Thankfully a rightful Player of the Week was picked, but we had a close call here
