  1. Probably a bunch of crickets tbh

  2. Yeah, Heir of fire balances maybe the fewest POVs aside from ToD I’ll admit Manon’s chapters were tough in heir of fire because she’s kinda just thrown in there, but her pov becomes one of the best later on. The pay-off is amazing.

  3. So, depending on how you’re taking orders on DD you can sorta estimate the tip in advance. If you’re taking pay by time then you can’t see at all. If you’re taking pay per order you can see the total you’ll be paid in advance. DoorDash pays about 2 to 4 bucks per delivery. So if I get an order that says “7.50” total, I know that I’m getting tipped roughly 3 to 5 bucks. Now the tip can always be adjusted after the fact and we won’t know that, but sometimes getting an order for 4 bucks and then finding out you have to drive half an hour can be disheartening. Does not excuse that behavior though. Absolutely no one should act like that.

  4. I wondered about that tip situation. I do the suggested tip, altered due to weather, traffic and holiday. If they find my condo in a large complex and promptly send a picture with mostly warm food I get right in and add $3-6 more. I always worried that they didn’t possibly get it, mostly because I’ve never I mean ever and years. Gotten a single message back just like hey thanks for the great review or thanks for the extra tip. Don’t come at me, please I don’t do it to get recognized and praised. I’m just saying that, most people in society would say thank you and a situation like that someone would but most would. So almost always. I feel weird because I feel like they might not be getting it.

  5. As a dasher, I can say it is greatly appreciated when the tip is adjusted for weather, distance, or even additional tip for hot food or a complex apartment situation. I feel bad, but once I hit “complete order” I have no way of reaching back out to that recipient. So even if the tip is adjusted after the fact I can’t say thank you as I have no way to get back to the message screen for that recipient.

  6. Keep reading, that’s all I’m going to say. Would love to hear your opinions of those characters later haha.

  7. You can't shop in per hour. Per hour only gives you pick up and deliver orders. And reporting your red card lost or stolen also removes the ability to shop for any order but you can still very much dash regardless without it.

  8. This isn’t true for me. I ran a full 8+ hours in earn by time this past weekend and had plenty of shop orders. Aldi, Best Buy, Pet Smart, Walgreens, General Dollar. I had to shop at all of these in earnest by time.

  9. Idk if that's even true. It's never gave me any shopping orders the entire days I'll dash per hour and as soon as I switch to per offer, it gave me shopping orders but crappy ones with 20-50 items for $6 so I reported my card stolen so I don't have to get any shopping orders. I couldn't care less about the pay for some of them.

  10. Idk what to tell ya. I’ve literally never dashed per offer.

  11. Not gonna lie…Heretics was my favorite one in the entire series felt more like a return to form for Dune imo

  12. I would recommend looking into what the Bible actually says about hell. Spoiler, it’s very very little.

  13. God-Emperor is definitely the hardest one to get through and understand imo. If you like the first 3, I’d definitely recommend continuing to go. I think I’d put God-Emperor as my least favorite (still good imo) in the series but the next one Heretics of Dune is my absolute favorite (hot take tbh). Don’t let God-Emperor scare you away from Heretics and Chapterhouse!

  14. He’s never met anyone that washes their hands after coming home from public places?? What? There’s no way, that’s so normal haha

  15. I have to say TAB was so hard for me to get through, and is still my least favorite. I’d probably skip it on a reread!

  16. It has a slow start, but it jumped to my favorite up to that point by the time I was finished with it

  17. World is deeper, has more to do, weightier combat, a better jewel system (imo), the clutch claw is just chefs kiss, it’s harder as well, and has better monsters (again, imo). The maps are bigger and have way more layers. You actually feel like you’re hunting a monster not just fighting. Don’t get me wrong I’ve played hundreds and hundreds of hours of multiple monster hunter games. Rise included. World is my favorite game in the series. Rise was massively disappointing to me coming off of World. I don’t think Rise is a bad game, I just don’t think it lived up to World’s standard.

  18. However, scrolling through more comments. You may not like world if you aren’t into farming/grinding and RNG. That’s kinda what the whole series has been about until Rise got rid of a lot of it.

  19. I literally just finished HoF like an hour ago.

  20. The Chaol struggle is definitely intentional! I LOVE it though, where other people shit all over him in HoF and QoS I’m like…we love a struggling human in the midst of tons of mega powerful magic peeps. We love growth, we love dealing with lifelong trauma, we love a man who comes to terms with his life & his failings. It’s coming!! Tower of Dawn is a masterpiece. I love Chaol desperately. His arc is fantastic!

  21. Oh my god thank you. Yes, Chaol just wants to be a good and honorable person but he fails to see that the world is grey. I felt him coming to grips with that heir of fire. It’s why I felt for him in his floundering. I’m honestly excited to get to tower of dawn for that reason even though so many people shit on him and that book lol

  22. I used to convince myself that my thoughts were god speaking to me. Like when I’d ask for something thoughts that “popped” into my head were from god. Always had an itch in the back of my mind that “these thoughts are just mine”…turns out I was right

  23. I had the same complaints in CoM…keep reading haha

  24. From my understanding of the books. The continents don’t have names. There’s the northern, southern and western continent and Erilea is the whole world

  25. The northern continent is comprised of Adarlan, Terrasen, Ellywe. The western continent is comprised of Wendyln and doranelle etc.

  26. Is that not a normal thing? I've worked in restaurants for over a decade and never came across a place that didn't offer the staff free food.

  27. Woah, I wish. I worked service industry all through college and then some. Like 5 years of service industry work and we never got free food in any restaurant I worked at.

  28. I’m currently reading. I have only read ToG and I’ve I’m currently reading TAB. I’ll say, throne sucked me in and I was obsessed. I’ve been struggling with blade though.

  29. I think they meant “you’re a girl” as in you’re young, they expected her to be an adult woman but she’s a teenager

  30. That makes sense. That’s not how I took it and the reference to her trial earlier in the book, but I can see that.

  31. Open it on a VM not “connected to the internet.”

  32. Didn’t he do it in his fight with Thor?

  33. That’s the beauty of the game, you just go do. There’s not really guidance. Go explore, find dungeons, find castles, explore swamps. Find other grace points. The game unfolds as you play, but there’s never really a strictly “go here, do this” objective. It’s all open ended. You can fight most bosses you find in any order. If you find an area where enemies are exceptionally stronger than you, go somewhere else, come back later.

  34. Her even saying that to you is emotional abuse and manipulation. That’s not something you threaten a person you genuinely care about with. You should remove yourself from that toxicity and manipulation. You’re not responsible for her actions after the fact. She has not right to place that weight on you.

  35. lol mad because your experience isn’t the same as everyone else in the ENTIRE UK which was the “area” you designated by saying it’s a British thing? Or mad because someone asked for clarification because it’s not their experience?
