  1. Tell us a little more about the theme and setting, that might provide some inspiration.

  2. ….and places where you take dirty clothes

  3. it is dairy free haha. A lot of people are triggered lol Just bought some seitan took me forever to find. Ready to cook tomorrow

  4. Yes i heard. Does it involve waiting for the sun to rise?

  5. In most places anything bigger than a 15 passenger van needs special licensed drivers. The post isn’t clear on what type of van this was.

  6. 9 or more if it's for compensation. Often overlooked and not well enforced.

  7. Being on a Tuesday didn't help this year. In our town there were no kids out past 8ish. Last year we still had teenagers roaming around at 9 or 10 that we made take our leftovers.

  8. Topas put out a dvd set for grandillusions he designed. Its called Virtuoso. Human blockhead is a great low budget horror effect, but kinda broken since covid :D

  9. Human blockhead was a favorite of mine. When I first went to a drive through COVID test the nurse complimented my easily swabbable nasal cavities. That said, it's an effect that still gets a good reaction even if folks know why it works.

  10. I think you misunderstood the question. Their question is about a particular method, not a request for alternative methods.

  11. Definitely need to do something interesting with the Pineapple near the finale. Would there be a way to have two or three spectators select cards at the start, and be unable to locate one of them (signed cards would be ideal)? I would then engineer a mistake near the end of the show that smashes the pineapple, and the missing signed card is found within the remains. My mind would go to a mishap with a roulette trick involving heavy weights or a sledgehammer, but that would not fit well with the rest of your show.

  12. That's actually very close to what I've been thinking of doing. We're changing it to a mistake that results in the pineapple being destroyed and also revealing the car to the same time could be cool. I have a lot to consider now, so thanks for you and everyone else's suggestions

  13. One little note, I would check to see how exposure to pineapple juice affects the cards. It may make ink run, and even juice on your hands might be enough.

  14. You could try some thin clear acrylic instead. Should be more durable too.

  15. There are some weird people here. Maybe he feels like he can't interfere with your way of doing things, but it is entirely reasonable not to want to be monitored by a spouse when alone. You should acknowledge your cameras are creepy, and see what he would prefer.

  16. Check out the Oxford English Dictionary. It is the penultimate dictionary of the English language. It documents every sense of the word as well as it's first such usage in print.

  17. Thanks. Do you know if you can export the whole dictionary from the website with first usage date as a csv file or similar?

  18. No no no. $0 is so constant that it hardly gets noticed. When I reduce, I want them to know and get mad. Reduce to $0.01. That gets attention. Fuck with my delivery, I fuck with your money.

  19. Ayn Rand's been mentioned. So having read Battlefield Earth, L Ron Hubbard. They'd have to be heavy into Scientology.

  20. I've been stopping at every used bookstore I've come across for decades. In the late 90s/ early aughts every single used bookstore sci fi section had at least one barely touched Battlefield Earths series. It was a universal constant set unmoving beside well worn Heinlein and Herbert. The others would be sold and replenished, but Battlefield Earth was always there.

  21. Bit of a biased sample here. According to Pew, about three out of four adults read within the last 12 months (a low bar, I know). Women are a little more likely to read than men (a few percent).
