It definitely ports to MA in 4K. Unfortunately, Vudu hasn’t updated them to 4K yet, but once they do they will upgrade there. I haven’t checked any of the other providers to see if it ported to them in 4K.
Yes, it will upgrade them to 4K. I just bought the trilogy at iTunes and I can confirm that they upgraded to 4K. At this point, they will still only be in HD at Vudu since Vudu hasn’t upgraded them to 4K yet. Once they do upgrade them at Vudu, you should have them in 4K there too.
Did you buy them from FanFlix or iTunes? Have you tried the trick of unlinking and relinking your MA account? Unfortunately, they will still show up as HD on VUDU/FAH since they haven’t upgraded them on their site yet. Once VUDU/FAH upgrades them on their site they should show as 4K whenever that happens.
