  1. Well this should be a fun post! Return it. I won't go into the whole PFAS case that can be made against it. It's incredibly expensive per bag now and mind bogglingly expensive when comparing price per N. As an organic fertilizer, it can only break down and have it's nutrient value to your lawn when it's hot out. This can lead to people putting down bags and bags of it during spring and then once warmer weather comes all that N gets dumped at once. The mindless application of P is infuriating when it comes to the people just applying tons of this garbage. Algae blooms are the biggest problem. People only using Milo are doing more harm than good, especially the ones living near water, or drains that lead to bodies of water.

  2. I’ve never used it before, so I wasn’t planning on buying more or less yet. Just curious how it works? Isn’t it supposed to be nitrogen rich?

  3. Thatch and then drop the first round of fertilizer (weed and crab grass prevention), is where I would start. See how the lawn reacts or doesn’t. Then in May, I would work on the bare spots with some lawn dirt and seed. I would also drop lime in May.

  4. 🙋‍♂️ Lamb, beef & pork. Got bit in Riverhead a few years ago.

  5. Yeah i’m not a big meat eater either, so its not that bad for me. I do like eating bbq hotdogs, steak on occassion and a cheeseburger once in a while, but I would only eat beef/red meat maybe 1-2 times a month at most.

  7. Wow, that is crazy. You know, the gastro doctor I went to didn’t have a clue what I was talking about when I mentioned Alpha-Gal to him. It seems most doctors here on Long Island do not. I’m scheduled for an Endoscopy end of May, but I will most likely be cancelling that appointment now. I have suspected I had this allergy for a few months now. You are on the money about it being mild too. I can actually still eat venison and most dairy products it seems? I had a cheeseburger and hot dogs do a number on my stomach though. Two very rough nights dealing with the indigestion from eating them. Thank you very much for the information. I still have not heard back from my doctor, so I really appreciate it. Good luck to you.

  8. I think i might be in a similar position to you now. What symptoms were you having that led you to an endoscopy. I think Ive been having a minor throat swelling reaction for the past month.

  9. Also, my endoscopy is scheduled for May 17th, and i’m going to do it just to be safe

  10. Sucks living on the island when you have to travel off of it. Even flying out of JFK or LGA sucks. Worst airports to travel to and from. My parents live in Port Jeff and my father always says what a great place it is to live, until they have to travel anywhere. Then it sucks. And now that we are post covid and everyone works from home, the congestion on the roads has gotten way worse.

  11. I haven’t found a plant based alternative that I am able to stomach. Ground emu, duck and ostrich make pretty good beef substitutes

  12. I added minced onion and cheddar to the “fake meat” grounds before I grilled it. I am going to also add jalapeno next time. I thought it was pretty good, considering it wasn’t a beef burger.

  13. Well yeah, but you just said “Bass” and there are plenty of fresh water spots on LI also

  14. My wife: What the fuck was that!?!? Me: that was an earthquake My Wife: WE DONT HAVE FUCKING EARTHQUAKES!!!!

  15. Yeah felt it in Lindenhurst too. Happened right around 10:23 ish

  16. I picked Arraez today, figured it was a sure thing, 0-6 lmao

  17. He just needs to wake up and then he’s a solid pick

  18. It gets worse. I picked on a day I should have definitely skipped. Game day then showed my guy get a hit, but then a few minutes later it was overturned and he was given a ‘reached on error’

  19. My favorite streak ruiner is when you have a 6-8 streak going and one of your picks gets hurt (mid-game) and is taken out, sending you back to zero land

  20. That no hunting on Sundays law is stupid. My state has some dumb regulations when it comes to hunting, but that is the dumbest law and it should be lifted to allow Sunday hunting

  21. I live on the island and do a lot of bass fishing. I always thought one fish per person of any size was a fair limit and should be the regulations. I do not need more than one fish 28” or bigger to feed 5-6 people.

  22. Well I hope this was at least 5 years ago lol?

  23. Fuck me!! Been doing it wrong my whole life

  24. Just threw out Milogranite Labor Day weekend.

  25. I usually cut on #4/5 all the way through September

  26. Thank you for the tip! I’ll knock my mower up to 4! First year with my own lawn. It has been a fun learning process.

  27. Yeah man, I start off cutting on one in April and May. Once it starts warming up, I go to two. Middle of June i’m cutting on three and come July, I never cut less than four.

  28. I’ll guess him in the 160-170” range

  29. Hello! I messaged you but I didn’t get a response, my venmo user is @RyanEkins and my pic is a dog. I’ll give you the full image here after payment recieved, thanks so much :)

  30. Sorry busy with work. Just venmo’d ya

  31. Not a problem at all. Here’s the full pic. Any more questions?
