Unpopular opinion: Anyone should be able to access medically assisted suicide for any reason, with nothing more than a few consultations and a waiting period to reduce the impulse decisions.
Chalk it up to a learning experience i.e. remember to thoroughly interview the interviewer when looking for your next job. These red flags aren't too hard to discover during the interview process.
What's your day-to-day like? Ticket volume? How's your technical debt & ongoing modernizing projects? And what happens when 1 person is on vacation or sick? Are they still expected to be available?
It is 100% possible to give back to the world by working in IT. I refurbished three old computers, got cheap legit Win 10 licenses, stripped out bloatware and crap, and set them up for a family from Afghanistan who fled the Taliban as the US pulled out.
Working in a school was the worst experience in 25 years of IT. It almost killed me, mental health was in the rocks. Got out of education and back to comercial loving IT again
I've definitely lost interest and gone F2P. I'm a below average Cav player and I've hit a significant skill wall. There just isn't any content for a player like me. Variants, AoL, LoL, Battlegrounds and the Story content are all unplayable. Kabam has really shit the bed with Act 6. Having a learning curve this steep this late in the game is incredibly short sighted. Depending on the month I can clear a couple of Legendary paths in SQ and Cav paths in EQ. I'm chipping away at exploring Act 5 but it's really not fun. It seems obsurd to me that Cav, TB and now Paragon are all lumped together for content.
I agree that the skill jump needed from Cav to TB is not worth it for me & I get bored reading long node descriptions. But I still do have fun with EQ/AQ/AW.

Couldn't agree more with you. Was just talking to someone regarding this topic. The one aspect of covid that I was really interested in seeing play out was to see the diaspora of folks as they became less shackled to physical locations. How many of us live where we want to vs where we need to? Sadly, there seems to be a reversal happening and I don't completely understand it. I know some of it is all about having asses in seats, but I can't help but think that a large percentage of it has more to do with corp real estate costs and what would happen if more of these companies just stopped having offices. They would suddenly get burdened with assets that are pretty much worthless.
I'm probably gonna get downvoted heavily for this but whatever. I understand F2P players cannot achieve Paragon title as soon as it comes out, but why is that an issue exactly? I seriously don't get the amount of outrage and crying in the community, I think it's perfectly fine for players who don't spend on this game at all to not get the highest progression title as soon as it comes out. This does not mean they won't be able to get it afterwards by completing content that Kabam mentions is gonna have more R4 mats. Can you explain why it's such a big deal to get the Paragon title on day 1 for F2P players?
That's pretty much how I see it also. There is no rush. I mean look at it this way. Back in 2017 if you paid say 100$ USD for the best offer the game ever saw that that time, in 2022 the things in that offer would mean like so little its not even funny now.
This is why I've stopped chasing these titles. The road to the next one is pure tedium, and if you're not at the highest level, there's very little difference between tiers. I'll get to Paragon probably when it's the fourth highest level.

Tickets volume is enough to keep us busy all day. At least for the last 4-5 months.The technical debt is scary. No lab time or training time.
If you're enjoying it, you do you. If not, there's definitely better gigs out there.

Lasted 4 months supporting a school before quitting. It was the worst. Next gig was in healthcare. Clearly was a sucker for punishment.
