To be entirely honest, my opinion on Arc 8 is gonna be HEAVILY dependent on the thematic/moral conclusion that Tappei brings us to at its end: whatever that ends up being will basically single-handedly determine whether or not I think this arc is an absolute dogshit 1/10 that completely demolishes everything the series has stood for up to this point or a 10/10 and the best arc of the series so far, with very little room for a middle ground between those two extremes. I’ve REALLY got my hopes up for the latter, though, so don’t fail me Tappei, PLEASE!
That opinion mostly comes when you have a preferred ending in mind, and an ending you are afraid you would not like. That's why I asked him his choice of ending for arc 8.
