  1. "She even likened it to me taking in my stepchild." Huh? A step-child comes with a parent. These two kids come with baggage, expenses, and two troubled parents, but absolutely no kinship to either you or your wife.

  2. No. My sister was and taught her little kids to call themselves yuppies. I was embarrassed for all of them.

  3. She lost another 300 pounds of ugly fat when Gareth divorced her. The best thing that could happen to her.

  4. Men who use their penises as weapons should be permanently disarmed.

  5. 11,000 years? You really think the Earth is 11,000 years old?? FFS. Your "scientific beliefs" need revamping. Try some facts.

  6. YOU said rape as a sin is debatable. YOU did. JFC. You're delusional.

  7. YOU: It’s pretty much the reason why this sub talks about homosexuality and not rape. One is universally agreed upon as sin. The other is debatable.

  8. JFC! I hope kids aren't doing this anymore. Too damn dangerous.

  9. It was the only soap opera we were allowed to watch.

  10. Does he think Americans aren't known to the rest of the world?? Movies, TV, internet, tourism... The whole world has seen that we can dress well and have manners. And he comes along and says all Americans are lazy, slurping slobs.

  11. You think you're sinning so you must be. And you're unrepentant, which makes it worse.

  12. It is not because I think I am sinning, I only asked this question in case me and my partner missed something we are unaware of as people who are not married for a long time.

  13. You repent and then commit the same sin? I don't care if you want to be a hypocrite. I don't believe in sin but you do. At a minimum, stop calling yourself a christian if you won't follow the teachings.

  14. You're right. The surefire way is the Word of God, my friend. And it is clear why God has omvolved mankind so much with all His decisions, including the preservation and the writing of His Word, and it is because of His love for us and His willingness to include us on the things He has and will do.

  15. You're using circular logic. The bible is the claim, not the proof. Why all the different versions? Why all the translations? Your god must want mankind to stay confused. The surefire way would be for him to show up and tell mankind what he wants of us.

  16. Not at all, KJV is simply an older translation that only differs in grammar most of the time and not the core message. The ESV is a newer translation straight from the Hebrew, while the KJV was translated from the Masoretic Hebrew text.

  17. Too bad your god leaves it up to mankind to tell us what he wants us to know. There's a sure-fire way to know we're all getting it right but we know that ain't gonna happen.

  18. It's like playing hide and seek with your kids and looking everywhere for them while knowing exactly where they are lol.

  19. No, it's exactly the opposite. This supposedly omniscient god didn't know where they are.

  20. What's wrong with the prayer Jesus taught his disciples?

  21. The finality of mortality scares the bejesus out of people. Believing in an afterlife can be very comforting.

  22. It's a mixture of good advice, nice philosophy, violent history, superstition, and lots of anti-human policies. If it's the word of a god, that god is pretty malevolent.

  23. You should be thanking whoever it was that killed Jesus. Wasn't he supposed to die? Or do you prefer to pay for you own sins??

  24. Blue Emu--pitched by Johnny Bench. And it really does work on painful joints and muscles.

  25. I have never had, or even heard of, a squeaky Emu. Same for fish.

  26. Regardless of which group killed Jesus, wasn't it God's whole plan to kill Jesus?? Would the christians barking about Jews killing Jesus prefer to pay for their own sins?? Seems to me, they should be thanking whoever killed Jesus.
