  1. I've heard multiple stories of people getting accepted last minute in May or June. Hell, one family friend got in a week before classes started and had to rush to move almost immediately.

  2. Given how I've never seen myself or anyone at my store get a bowl this large, absolutely.

  3. Used EVs, too! I got a 4k pos rebate on a used Tesla because I was below the income limit, and the Tesla S came with free lifetime charging, as I guess the former owner didn't transfer it. I'll also get a 4k rebate from the power company whenever they get around to processing my application. The battery was rated as excellent, and it holds its charge. I would have bought new except for Musk.

  4. You in CA? I'm looking at getting a used PHEV and found the same $4k federal rebate and $4k PGE rebate (I'm under the income limit). How hard was it to get the federal rebate at pos, and the pge one later on?

  5. My general mindset on this is that damn near every doctor goes through this, and they all pretty much end up fine. You'll make enough to pay it off, or have it forgiven through PSLF.

  6. I'm the exact opposite lol. I feel like I played millions of paradiddle diddles in marching band, almost never played a six stroke roll. Even now I struggle with it.

  7. hopefully the cymbal sounds are better than all the other e-drum brand sounds. but like, i don’t understand electric kits that are just as big as regular kits. isn’t part of the point the portability/size ?

  8. I'm making the switch from an acoustic set to an electric kit and I'm honestly leaning towards the kits with full drums. It's honestly an aesthetic/comfort thing for me. Looks and feels much more natural than regular electronic kits.

  9. That’s exactly how I felt so I upgraded to the Roland VAD 506 and I absolutely love it. Had it for 2 years after using a TD-11 for 7 years. It’s been a game changer for home recording, jam sessions and just having fun solo.

  10. “An osteopathic medical college may rescind an offer of admissions to a candidate who has paid deposits to or holds positions at multiple institutions.

  11. But we don't have a portal or something like AMCAS does where we formally commit to a school, right? It's just those deposits and agreement contracts that we signed.

  12. Holy shit. Where? We pay 520 for a 2 bedroom. 3200 is insane I'm sorry you have to pay that much

  13. I’m in SF. That number sounds about right for our city.

  14. In terms of it being a "deal", I'd say it's more reasonably priced for what it's worth. A DW Collectors with that many drums is likely $10k+ brand new, you're also looking at a few grand for the cymbals and hardware too. Since the seller likely put $12k-15k into building that kit, $7500 is reasonable for what they're looking to get back.

  15. Yeah, I was accepted to a different DO school early march and just took my drug test last week. Just stop using and drink a shit ton of water. CVS/walgreens has piss tests you can take at home, helps with the anxiety. I started passing them after 2 weeks, which surprised me. 2 months is plenty of time.

  16. I struggle with the same exact problem all the time. Does cannabis make you have the desire to eat?

  17. Yes, the munchies are a common effect of cannabis. That comment is 4 yrs old and I still use cannabis to help me eat sometimes.

  18. It's honestly unlikely to see that at the moment. Combination therapy would usually involve 1 biologic and 1 immunosuppressant (like mtx, 6-mp, etc).

  19. Side question - how have you been using your iPads to study effectively? Any apps you recommend? I used Goodnotes for my masters, anything else I should download as an incoming first year?

  20. Honestly, just input your grades on your own. It doesn't take nearly as long as it seems.

  21. I don’t love math. But yes I am in stem and occasionally do statistical work for my research job lol

  22. There are a few different crohns/colitis subs. R/crohnsdisease is probably the biggest. This is one of the smaller ones, so you can expect to receive more support there.

  23. They say it takes 4-6 weeks on average to build a habit. In my experience, that's about right.

  24. I’m very seriously considering this as an incoming first year. Would love a pet and don’t want to get a dog due to the amount of time it takes to walk/play/care for them. Haven’t had a cat before though, how is taking care of them when you’re handling studying and rotations?

  25. If you get an adult cat they’re generally super chill. I had never had a cat before (only dogs) and am so happy I got one during M1.

  26. Thanks for the info! That lines up with what I’ve heard from others. I was also thinking of adopting an adult cat from a shelter, good point about mentioning not wanting more so they can point me towards a more independent cat. And also on the automatic feeder.

  27. I wouldn’t say he’s giving up on you, rather he’s exhausted the meds that he’s comfortable prescribing in your case and wants to move to surgery, which is indeed a viable option.

  28. This is absolutely correct. I’m a research coordinator for an IBD specialist clinic. The doctors only see the worst of the worst ibd cases (they have to be referred in). We do numerous clinical trials and studies (hence my job), and the doctors literally sit on the forefront of GI research and knowledge. They regularly attend/present at top GI conferences so you know that they know what they’re talking about.

  29. I wrap the chain lock around the middle pole of the frame, and loop the lock portion sits behind on the mount for the rear light reflector.
