  1. Viszlas are generally not particularly protective. In fact, if they tend towards anything, it's being a neurotic mess (in the kindest way possible!). They tend to be very attached to their owners which can lead to separation anxiety if not careful.

  2. What kind of behavioral issues are they known for? I keep reading contradictory articles about aggression and ressource guarding.

  3. I don't have tons of experience with ridgebacks (I've only worked professionally with one and have known 2 others) but resource guarding was an issue (minor in the one I knew), and they were moderate on the biddability scale, meaning that it's just a bit harder to motivate them.

  4. Can you talk a bit about how you attach it to your car? I assume it's straps around the roof bars?

  5. Game doesn't refer to emotional awareness (which pits can be very, very good at), but rather the willingness to suffer discomfort and maintain focus for their owner, trainer, or family. It's what makes them so trainable as a family dog; it also, sadly, is what makes them so favored as a fighting dog.

  6. I think I just found my new favorite "place" (go to your mat) or "freeze" cue!

  7. So... I really love the "throw cookies at it" mode of training, primarily because it's a great place to start, rarely has much serious drawback, and it's easy as anything so long as you keep treats around.

  8. We watched 3/4 of those in my high school and college German classes! (I never saw Die Ehe der Maria Braun)

  9. We have a standard 24" wire crate. As for height of the dog, my male (16lbs) is 17" at the shoulder.

  10. I would challenge you to try and reframe her behavior in your mind. Often we say a dog is 'stubborn' as if that alone is the reason for behavior. In my experience, that is never an actual reason for behaviors we often label as stubborn.

  11. I think the main thing would be to remove the already finished hems and make new ones. That's really what's giving away the whole "used to be a sheet" thing

  12. And Anakin and Padme met as minors [both of them]. Anakin was 9, Padme was 14. Nothing happened between them until he was 19 and she was 24. So what’s the problem? On top of which, through their first meeting in Episode II it’s indicated Padme wasn’t really reciprocating Anakin’s romantic feelings in any way. “You’ll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine” sounds like the opposite of a flirtation. Any openness she had to Anakin’s compliments expressing his schoolboy crush up to that point were most likely her respecting Anakin as a person and not wanting to hurt his feelings; nothing more. But in the memes Padme’s a pedophile somehow. Riiiight.

  13. I honestly just feel gross because Padme is written and acted as a full adult with adult responsibilities. Anakin, however, is written and acted as a moody teenager without many adult traits. So even if the ages aren't that bad, it's the difference in perceived maturity that makes me feel so gross about it.

  14. This is a nice suggestion. If your dog is SUPER excitable, I really, really suggest working on this a lot when you haven't left your dog in the crate for long, or it may be honestly impossible for your dog to be able to produce anything like calmness in those harder times.

  15. Oh, 100%! I think that it was PTSD was pretty well portrayed - I just maybe wish those flashes might have happened more as a direct result of him attempting to access the force and relevant environmental triggers.

  16. 24. I forget why it took so long in current canon, legends it was because he wasn't catching on as a jedi so it was thought he might only be slightly force sensitive so they were going toput him on guard duty or some shit. Then he had an adventure with QGJ and everything came together

  17. (Twenty-four for the people dealing with weird reddit numbering stuff)

  18. However it did add some character to Obi-wan and showed that he was a man of strong morals. They showed this because in the end, he chose the Jedi order and the fight for good over his love, and we can see that he cares about her deeply, but he wanted to remain true to the Jedi even though he still struggled with his decision. It also presented an opposite view of Anakin and Padme. Unlike Obi, Anakin chose his love over his devotion to fight evil.

  19. Yup. Direct parallel. How does a jedi who isn't Anakin deal with temptation and attachment?

  20. Sometimes it can even be something like "peeing in the morning". I think most everyone does that!

  21. I'd personally be leaning into the arts and crafts/craftsman style and get a semi-flush mount with that in mind.

  22. Those small but wide blue rubber bands that come on bundles of broccoli in the US are nice. Wrap the bills around the cards, fasten with the rubber band.

  23. If you want just a little bit more than a rubber band (and something that doesn't "stick" to the cards), I'm rather fond of my elastic wallet. I personally have one from

  24. I never got why they wanted to kill Cassian because 'we can't have him running around with Luthen's face in his head'. Why? Because he might be captured and tortured by ISB? Like uh, Bix, who also had Luthen's face in her head and who had met him a half dozen or more times already? They showed zero interest in her arrest.

  25. Luthen talks about how Cassian being on the souped-up Fondor was one of the major issues - especially because of Cassian's knowledge of ships would mean that it would be pretty easy for him to basically sell Luthen out and mess up his cover. It's not so much that they know of Luthen, but that it can be connected to antique dealer Luthen.

  26. You don’t need Snap-On tools if the extent of your car work is an oil change every few months

  27. The only problem with that is things like shoes which can fuck up your body. It's a fantastic rule for things that won't cause safety issues if they do fail. A bad pair of shoes can really hurt you for a long-ass time.

  28. Well, most dresses back then were natural materials like wool, linen, cotton, silk if super fancy. Those materials aren't actually very flammable compared to today's synthetic materials.

  29. Nice job! That is a challenging place and your pup is doing great!

  30. The media console + the piano means that there's a lot of low, black things along one wall. I think that's a lot of why it feels unfinished. I actually also think you might be the rare person who maybe could raise their TV a little bit higher!
