  1. Thats exactly what I think everyday. I’m 24… most of my patients are older than me. Who thought it was a good idea to let me treat patients?!

  2. I'm also 24 and it's such a struggle to be the youngest in most spaces with other clinicians! The imposter syndrome is real...

  3. Well, on the plus side, YCP will prepare you for any Masters/Ph.D program you can get into.

  4. I agree with this!! My partner and I graduated in '21 from the psych program and it still is extremely rigorous. I learned more in this program than I have in my 3 year masters at JHU.

  5. I've used the patch as my only form of bc for over 5 years! Never had any concerns or worries.

  6. I'm waiting to see a specialist for suspected endometriosis... could this cause any extra pain? I'm actually shocked to hear it isn't as common to be in as much pain as I was because the GP didn't seem to comment on it. Just gave me a prescription to relax next time but I was actually quite calm up until the pain happened and I burst into tears. I was so embarrassed.

  7. I have endo and my paps are very similar to what you describe! My first one, I was literally shaking and crying for a good 30 minutes after. Definitely keep pushing for a diagnosis and advocate for yourself next time you have to get a pap smear!

  8. hi! idk if you’ll see this but I was on the pill for like a year and just switched to the patch like two weeks ago, and I wanted to keep skipping my period, but I ended up getting my period yesterday or at least that’s what it looks like today still. should i go put my new one on for this week? or let myself get my period? what should i do

  9. I had breakthrough bleeding when I first swapped from pill to patch. It takes a bit of time to get things evened out. While I'm not a Dr, nor have any medical expertise, I would think you're fine to just put the next patch on like normal.

  10. Did you let your boyfriend to cum inside on patch?

  11. Yes, we've been together for 4 years and have never used condoms. If you have any other questions, feel free to pm me!

  12. I'm in my last semester of my master's. I work 3 days at my internship (unpaid), 3 days a week at Trader Joe's for money and the food discount, and go to class 1 day. It's exhausting and I still have to basically live off of loans to pay for my rent.

  13. This is a comment I made on another thread that's basically about the same thing. "I'm currently finishing my master's degree in counseling and in my internship. I have multiple ear piercings, a nose piercing, and tattoos. I have never had an issue with any sites I've been at or in my program, and neither have any of my peers (to my knowledge). Tattoos and piercings may push away some possible clients, BUT they will also attract clients who will probably appreciate someone who may look like them!"

  14. It happens. When we're being real and present with our clients in the moment, it's not possible to filter our thoughts perfectly and we will say things that we wouldn't have said if we had more time to think about it.

  15. Clients are often very forgiving when they trust that you have their best interests in mind. I'd likely say something like "I was reflecting on our last session and realized that I might have come across as minimizing the abuse you were talking about. I didn't do that intentionally but am wondering how the experience was for you".

  17. Literally shit all the way down the hallway into the bathroom, and then all over the bathroom... While the mates were cleaning it up a kid puked all over the floor because of the smell.... It was a rough day.

  18. We just did the biscuits with unexpected cheddar on top! They were so good!

  19. Looking for low-cost therapy? Space Between Counseling Interns may be the perfect fit! We have two interns who are open for referrals and have a wide variety of clinical interests. Reach out to us! Email:

  20. In my final year of my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling! I am so ready to be done and start working full time. Hopefully I'll be staying at my current internship site because it's an amazing place and they specialize in what I want to focus on.

  21. I'm in school for my master's in counseling where I do my internship three days a week. I also work part time at Trader Joe's and I am so looking forward to the day where I can just do therapy full time!

  22. We gave my son the option to go to public school for high school & he opted out. He’s dual enrolled at our local college & will graduate high school with an associates. I’ll give my daughter the same option.

  23. I did this from my sophomore year in highschool until I graduated. I'm currently in the last year of my master's and am so thankful my parents had me do this.

  24. In my last year of my master's currently. For the first year and a half I worked as a psych technician at a residential facility. Now I work at Trader Joe's and I love it. It's a job that I can just go in and work and then go home without taking work home with me.

  25. Honestly I don’t mind working in retail part time. Was your job flexible?

  26. I change my schedule every semester and they're very flexible. I only work Friday, Saturday and Sunday at this point.

  27. Our guy gets Hills adult indoor dry food in the morning and their wet food at night.

  28. Finished my bachelor's of science in psych. I'm in my last year of my master's in clinical mental health counseling and am doing my internship at a site that specializes in sex therapy/couples. While I don't actually do sex therapy, the practice attracts a lot of clients who have presenting concerns about their relationships and sexuality. Once I graduate and am fully licensed (another 2 years after graduating), I will start to get my ASSECT certification so that I can be a certified sex therapist.

  29. Currently in my internship in my CMHC program. At my site (which I hope to be hired at once I graduate), once I am an LGPC I will be making $55 a session, and then once fully licensed as an LCPC it will be bumped up to $75 a session. It's a private pay private practice so I get to set my schedule.

  30. My boyfriend is a manager at a tool store! We met in undergrad where we were both doing psych so he definitely has a good understanding of a lot of things and has been able to help me study for my classes and NCE (in my last year of my Master's currently). I think it's nice to have him in a different field but we don't have much we can talk about it in terms of work..!

  31. I’m trying to look at it positively that my boyfriend and I are also in different fields. Good luck on the NCE and studying! Just applied for licensure and am awaiting!

  32. Thank you! I am seriously stressing over it but am trying to stay positive!!
