  1. I really don't understand this take, because this battle was already completely silly in the first place. Keeping the party goers under control, one shotting dragons, Sprak's meth addiction, Riz smoking cigarettes, Fabian getting a tattoo, Gerard Neigh, etc. If anything, "Blimey" felt like the perfect cap on the episode, at least to me. Ally tried to back down, and that was very polite of them, but if Brennan didn't want something stupid to happen he wouldn't have allowed K2 to roll divine intervention in the first place, let alone let people give help actions on what is essentially a luck check.

  2. I agree. The episode started off with Brennan saying something along the lines of "Oh boy, we've got Adventuring Party energy in the main episode this early?" and from there it just continued.

  3. I agree. It's crazy to me that people feel the need to overtake by going in the opposite lane to begin with. As you said, you're not arriving at a noticeable earlier time regardless. Chances are 10 seconds later you'll be "stuck" behind another vehicle. Chill out.

  4. Yeah, totally. Especially the tractor bill! I was expecting it to be 20 grand or something.

  5. I doubt there's one specifically for Tall Ships, but it's my understanding you need a general master's license anyway. In English the search term you would want is "Maritime Academy" and you graduate with a university degree and usually a 3rd mate's license. In the US there are several of these, and in smaller countries there's usually one national University.

  6. Actually just like tank ships, DP, sailing ship mate and or captain is a specialty that is not part of the all ships license that you get on a "Maritime Academy" and require a specialty course on top. There just aren't many schools offering this course as there aren't that much tall ships. (compared to all other ships)

  7. That's awesome, thank you for the information!

  8. This sounds to good to be true. Is this a US company? I'm in Canada, wonder if we have something like that

  9. If you're in the right area, Rover can indeed be a lucrative side (or even main) job. If you're reliable, professional, and any kind of sociable, you'll more than likely end up with some repeat customers that you can work with outside of the app and make even more money.

  10. I am so tired of the modern trend of under 10 episodes a season. How did we let 20 episode seasons slip away?!

  11. The idea is that you are taking a sip of a drink, and something so funny happens that you spit out your drink as an involuntary reaction.

  12. I don't know if this is actually it, but Henry Cowell had close to a hundred burn piles around the park when I was there a week ago. Said they were just waiting for it to not be so wet.

  13. How are there so many deep space tracking posts, and no jokes about Stargate?!

  14. One thing that I OP didn't explicitly mention is this is for the county. As far as I know tiny homes are not legal in city limits still.

  15. I don't know how it works for cops, but in EMS we'd literally pull our stuff out while the next crew was putting theirs in. There were no 30 minutes between shifts to recharge. Obviously someone would have thought about that before they bought a bunch of EVs as cop cars, so I'm guessing it's different for them, but I'm still curious how exactly they get it to work.

  16. It is different. Fremont PD has sit down start of shift briefs. I'd be surprised if it was less than 30 minutes. Briefing plus checking out gear would probably be enough to get that 80% fast charge or more.

  17. But then investing in a dedicated fast charger for the station large enough to handle all the cars at once is an issue. And that's actually a pretty huge investment. All this stuff has to be figured out.

  18. Agreed. It also doesn't have to be every car in the fleet, though. In fact it probably shouldn't be for reliability, but it's a cool step in an interesting direction.

  19. We had a pretty good experience at Capitol 360 in Milpitas. Milpitas in general is boring and sucks, but the place was good. We were also the first inhabitants of the newly built apartment, and this was over 2 years ago.

  20. $121k as an engineer, 8 years experience at the company (only 1 as an engineer, though).

  21. Diane Paulson is great! She was our realtor when we bought our place in Waimea.

  22. Oh, cool! I've been living about 2 miles from there for 12 years now, and I still haven't gone. Now I have to go.

  23. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is an absolute gem of the area, and probably one of the best aquariums in the world. When my wife and I still lived in the Bay Area we were always members. It's 100% worth a visit!

  24. I'd suggest you call an exterminator, and ask if they give free inspections. They can tell you how bad your infestation is.

  25. Second this. Years ago (so things may have changed) we got estimates from two places. One was the company near Soquel Animal Hospital, and I liked them.

  26. I swear churros were awesome 5 years ago. They went to hell during covid

  27. She was doing a voice. She (kind of) jokingly talks about regretting it in an Adventuring Party.

  28. pffft. AIM-120 isn't even good enough to put an X-301 in a slingshot trajectory around Jupiter.

  29. How were they to know Apophis had put in a return home program?!

  30. but my little guy is worth it! And we get a cat with our house - he’s old guy partially blind and deaf… kinda like me I’m partially blind and have hyperacusis too

  31. I totally get it, we brought a cat with us as well, and a couple people assumed we were going to leave her when we explained all the hoops you have to jump through. The thought of getting rid of our cat never crossed our mind.

  32. I tried that and they denied me due to the appointment schedule so i’m flying through Honolulu for the AQS there instead. Hopefully it works out. I was gifted the cat from my neighbor last December - 2 months after my old boy Ralphie passed at 17 years old - indoor/outdoor cat and my other cat lived till 16 years old. We have ALOT of predators up here in Northwestern Michigan My cat had a litter mate that was killed by an owl - when my neighbor owned him. They’re dog people and don’t understand cats….at all.

  33. Got it. I don't have experience going through Honolulu and doing the quarantine stuff there. I just know that for us we had to show paperwork before boarding the plane, and then there was someone waiting for us after getting off the plane that finished the process.
