The case I was making was about specifically disrupting classes etc. I'm not sure it would even achieve what you want, because classmates are not the people responsible for the situation and just want to study and have paid a lot to do it. I think some spaces should be protected from protest.
It’s not so much individual classmates who are trying to be won over, but the general public. Disproportionate responses to peaceful protests are a good tool to gain wider public support. If this admin expels people, or something to that effect, it’s going garner support from people who are on the fence and draw the ire of hard core supporters.
It was shit like this. In the very center of campus. you literally couldnt walk from one building to another without passing them. You could hear a dude reciting bible passages over a megaphone from inside the buildings. Fuck them in particular, but in this country, they get to do that.
Conversely, You’ll see a studies claiming that one of top ten careers for millionaires is teachers, but thats because they somehow include entitlements to pensions in their net worth.
Yet you call it an assassination, which would suggest it was targeted, planned and deliberate. That’s ridiculous and makes no sense. Not saying Israel didn’t do it but there is a huge difference between a mistake/incompetence and a deliberate assassination.
Yes, but the politicians here in Ohio absolutely did try and ratfuck the passing of this amendment, both before and after it passed. They had no success after it passed, but damn sure if some of them weren't being vocal about how they should have the right to ignore the vote.
Expressing the desire to ratfuck, and actually rat fucking are different enough that its worth making the distinction when you talk about what has happened.
That's a fair point. But I think you're trying too hard to make that distinction. If they could have found a way, even if illegal, and could have gotten away with it, they certainly would have. They tried to make it into a platform, and it just ended up making them look worse.
Yeah thats fair. What we really need to do is pass an amendment to make redistricting totally non-partisan. I would vote for the current effort thats out there, but I would prefer it not include anyone who is partisan at all.
The US and Vietnam have been making huge strides since the end of the Vietnam war to normalize relations. Their relationship with China has been much more antagonistic.
