Read the Dark Imperium Trilogy. Honestly, this needs to be stickied. The Dark Imperium Trilogy is like a hitchhikers guide to 40k imo and how things are done in the IoM + how Chaos operates. Everyone needs to read it. It's an amazing Trilogy.

You have a penal legion/warband saying "fuck it" and charging balls deep into a chaos aligned legion + Nurgle filth - because "commander is watching". I've watched/read IG dive head first into the trenches vs Tyranids and swarm them - because "commissar is watching". I've read an entire armoured division + civilians + random IG in their thousands march on the goddamn Plague Guard deep into Nurgle's territory - "because commander is watching and the Emperor wills it".
When a Space Marine is made, their body creates two geneseeds. One can be harvested as soon as it’s ready, the other when the marine dies. So as long as they don’t lose too many marines without recovering their geneseed, a chapter can grow without any outside geneseed

Either that the Omnissiah is the physical manifestation of the Machine God's will, or that the Machine God is just a duality of the God Emperor. Either way, they are not actually viewed as distinct beings as far as I understood it from Master of Mankind.

Honsou, despite being the only named IW with a model, doesn't have IW geneseed. He's got Imperial Fist geneseed, which is why other IW call him "halfbreed".
I'm gonna leave my group too. I've given 1.54K exp and I'm an early game player with just legendaries.. I'm on City 14. Person below me has 213 exp and city 6. I've literally carried this club to level 6 in rewards.

They deserved to be exiled imo. The Chardaradons may be good warriors, but they suck as "people". They starve their serfs for example. They'd be so much more effective if they treated their serfs more like the Ashen Claws do.
