  1. He’s the only dude with attitude on this team. No swag from anyone else.

  2. There are some folks that do this on briar forest and wilcrest. Been wanting to stop and try it.

  3. Obelix is yum. Will be going back our next visit to the city later this year. Great wine list.

  4. yeah it was a very pleasant experience, we went for brunch. would definitely go again.

  5. The thing I tell people is they have to be ok with the sound level and how close you sit to tables next to you.

  6. Congrats mate! Can you share your purchase history?

  7. Hmm. I wouldn't. It's not a particularly long flight, and First isn't that much better. You will get to experience the Concorde Room at LHR (assuming that's where you're flying from) which is quite nice, but I don't rate it particularly highly. My personal sweet spot would be about $300, but that's (obviously) super-subjective.

  8. Just updated my post. Wife just told me the $647 was for both of us to upgrade, not price per person.

  9. Added note to other replies: the restaurants are open air. Summer time dining will be uncomfortable for some (if sure was for us).

  10. I will never go back to MAD, spent $100 for 2 people only to leave and go to another restaurant because we were still hungry.

  11. lol. Going to fine dining and complaining about non bbq portion sizes.

  12. You can tell how much respect and love he has for Lovitz. As soon as he comes on he sat up and leaned forward to really pay attn. Massive smile.

  13. Next time .... I could not fit anything else in (we'd done Au Cheval 7 hours earlier for early lunch... 😬)

  14. I’ll allow. First time we went to Chicago we landed and went immediately to Au Cheval for burger, fried chicken, and a bottle of Krug (their corkage policy is pretty neat).

  15. FYI, you’ll hit that min spend easy at Katami.

  16. Mademoiselle Louise for a baguette sandwich and/or an eclair.

  17. The service hiccups surprise me. We went a year or so ago and were blown away. We did a pairing and the somm took his time explaining every wine.

  18. Like I mentioned in the post, I almost wonder if they just misread what we were looking for. They'd hang around the tables next to us, talking and having a nice time, but then they'd drop our dishes off, describe them, and leave, even after we'd encourage them to describe more, etc.

  19. Telling you to walk around and come back is insane.

  20. There really is someone out there for everyone.

  21. Smyth is one of our fave fine dining experiences we have had. We loved the food, wine pairings, and the staff was phenomenal.
