  1. Daredevil show already did all the heavy lifting for kingpin. Showrunners said Disney daredevil will continue old daredevil show

  2. That's great news but they can't rely on everyone having watched that show so I think this was used to do some of that work. The Netflix daredevil show did an amazing job developing Fisk!

  3. I didn’t really learn anything about Fisk that I didnt already know tbh.

  4. Have you watched the Netflix shows or read the comics? What I was meaning is Echo is being used to develop Fisk for the new audience that haven't watched other materials. He wasn't developed much in Hawkeye.

  5. It's the comic "The Boys" I'm quite certain, uncertain of it's issue 1 or 2, the comic does have since differences to the show.

  6. Oh right, my bad. I read it ages ago. I remembered the multiple male members of the Seven being part of it (unlike the show) and figured given what Ennis showed in the rest of the comics, he might have showed this. My mistake.

  7. Here's hoping the continued chatter gets it renewed for a second season by Amazon prime! It's such a great show!

  8. I managed to get through it, but wish I hadn't bothered. The first book was the best of them, but still dragged. By book 3 I was speed running it. It reminded me a bit of Thomas covenant, which I also disliked

  9. Can you tell me what reminded you of Thomas Covenant? I haven't read this trilogy. I really enjoyed Thomas Covenant while acknowledging it one of the hardest reads I've done.

  10. Australian born, dad is English. Always been and still an I love you family and have continued that with my own children. Have friends who've come from both types of favourites (saying I love you and not).

  11. I think it's Crank but I could be mistaken.

  12. That one 4x1 Tetris brick that perfectly fits.

  13. Haha, awesome comment! Such a good feeling!

  14. Over 1 million people have downloaded and played my map creations in Forza Horizon 5.

  15. I live in Australia. I was turning 18 and it was the first time I ever woke up in my family home to the TV being on, just unheard of. I think it was about an hour after the 2nd impact. I went to work (checkouts at a supermarket chain) and everyone was talking about this and worrying about people they knew in America.

  16. I’m just saying, put yourself in the shoes of the supervisor whose employee is leaving after 4 months. I’m not even talking about sabotaging a candidate; I’m saying it shows poor judgment to ask a supervisor of 4 months for a reference, because supervisor would not have much to say. For one; they barely know you. You just finished training them and they’re already leaving. I just think OP should look elsewhere for a reference is all, for their own sake, and because it’s not a realistic expectation to ask a supervisor you’re leaving on those terms to be a reference.

  17. I hear you, what you are saying makes a lot of sense but it depends on the manager. I wouldn't make a blanket decision regarding that. It does suck for the manager, it's a lot of work to recruit. Also, optimally I'd suggest people stay in roles for 12 months min as it'll look better going into the next role but not if it's adversely impacting upon your well-being. Most people in this industry are value oriented and person centred in my experience, managers and clinicians alike. This is all very subjective though. Hopefully OP will get enough from all the opinions here to find the right fit for their next steps.

  18. I dunno … What I’d say if I were this manager is, “They worked for me for just 4 months before they gave up and left.” There’s got to be better references than this one.

  19. That could be what you'd say. The only benefit that comes from that, in my opinion, is sinking their chances and how does that help you? It doesn't improve your situation at all, doesn't change that you're still going to have to recruit. It's not in line with my values or views on professionalism to get it that way personally. The person doesn't want to stay, the referee check isn't going to change what I need to do one way or another so now it's a value choice of what I offer them. I guess OP could take away there are lots of different possible responses their manager could give to the situation.

  20. Killing floor 3. I haven't really been playing games for the last few years since my kids were born but kf1 & kf2 was such phenomenal games for myself and my friendship group that number 3 has me super excited!

  21. My gf and I are planning to have kids in the next few years and while I’m excited to have kids I’m scared of losing all my free time

  22. I mean your current free time will be measured against time being a parent, which is exhausting and wonderful at the same time 😊 After kid 1 I still fit in regular online gaming time with my mates but this was partly due to being in extended COVID lockdowns so this was my social interaction and my wife was happy to be primary during those times. After kid 2 I haven't really been playing games much but prioritise seeing friends f2f instead (my gaming group are mainly IRL friends as well). If I'd wanted to prioritise gaming time, she and I would have worked that out. My priorities have shifted since the kids were born, you'll experience the same thing on that wonderful parenting journey and it's just about communication and prioritising what you want to use time for 😁 Good luck and enjoy!

  23. Amazing game. Playing co-op LAN at a local store where everyone was joined on the same server was so insanely good!

  24. Killing floor 2. Loved playing number 1 with my mates and number 2 just totally hit the spot for us all. Great gameplay, class and weapon choice and a shift in play style from the first so new strats to grasp. Loved it!

  25. Team fortress 2, I think I have 10k hours across 2 accounts. I still reinstall occasionally as it's a fantastic game!

  26. Thanks for sharing this story! My oldest is 3 and I'm excited for when gaming is the right fit for some shared experiences.

  27. Killing floor 2 or lovers in a dangerous space time!

  28. I read enchanted bowl and very much understood how uncertain I would feel as a new DM haha!

  29. I like all of Charles Stross's Laundry Files books - they're urban fantasy/lovecraftian horror/satire of British bureaucracy. I think his big SF novels are his most famous work.

  30. Shardik is fantastic, I still remember it after reading it 20+years ago! I bought Mordant's Need secondhand a while ago but haven't yet it yet. I loved the covenant books but they are a hard read. Your description has moved Mordant's up my reading list dramatically, thank you!

  31. I've been kicked out of a good dozen or so games because I'm Australian. Some groups really don't need much reason other than "You're not like us".

  32. It's been 3years and I've participated in 1 one-shot with my friends (Vampire the masquerade). Currently I'm reading the 5th edition DND books to be a DM for the first time. Had a chat to my wife about really wanting to do this (getting back into ttrpg's wasn't as much of a priority previously) so planning to start soon with my friends and she may participate after kids are in bed. She's never posted a ttrpg before but enjoyed the DnD movie.

  33. Turning 40 in a few months. Oldest child is 3 and 3rd kid is on the way. Time flies when your kids are literally growing up in growing up in front of you and I'm just desperately doing whatever I can to stay healthy and well to be around for as much of their lives as possible. Also I'm hoping my parents can do the same!
