Most people going to jasper are there to camp, hike, ski, or fish. It isn't attracting the rich people, unless you are going to jasper park lodge. The hotels in the town are nowhere near if you have to ask you can't afford it. Once again that's just jasper park lodge, and Banff has their own Fairmont that is even more expensive.
