You probably won't get hired as a social studies teacher except in an inner city district, too many applicants. Too diluted. Go sub in one of those schools and see if you like it and if your 'passion' for history shines through.
My mom told me what she did. 30+ years of teaching with bilingual certification, MEd. Her main principal retired, so the school hired some “person” who claimed he wanted to be everyone’s buddy. He played favorites. My mom was not one. And due to seniority, she always was last for her grade. There had been three teachers for her grade level but one retired, so between her and the other teacher, she did not have seniority. The principal made her life miserable. He recommended she move to Reading Recovery. An arthritic 50+ in those smaller child chairs since most kids were First Graders. When she knew she was going to retire, she said nothing. Pretended like everything was ok. She needed to sign her contract on 6/30 for the next year. On 6/30, she turned in her retirement papers. Big admin was not happy because no one was able to fill that Reading Recovery job. Fellow teachers from other schools were calling her asking her to “think of the students” and other similar comments. She told them if they were so concerned, they should transfer to her old position. No takers. I have never been so proud of my mom until that day.
Why is it only teachers who have to sacrifice 'for the students?' Taxpayers: double your taxes to the schools 'for the students,' admin 'cut your 6 figure salary down to 5 figures for the students,' and on and on.
I maintain that the day Congress let Sandy Hook and Uvalde happen with NO change in federal gun laws and enforcement was the day America said they love their guns more than their children and their children’s safety and education.
Mindsset shift: eating makes you more hungry. Try Intermittent Fasting, its amazing and while fasted (biggest surprise): I am NOT hungry, have huge positive energy.
I thought 'no way' when someone told me about fasting. The biggest surprise is that I was NOT hungry and had a ton of positive energy. I guess when you eat especially carbs, you spike insulin, and insulin makes it impossible for the body to burn fat. Fasting, no insulin spike and body takes from fat. Maybe try it for a few days, 16:8 (fast 16, 8 hour eating window).
Loved reading your post. I’ve been doing OMAD for almost 6 years. It’s a wonderful way to live! I’m older - started at 58. Dropped 50 lbs to absolute goal. Lowest since high school. Wife said I looked great and not to lose any more.
Ran 6 miles this morning, thats roughly 900 calories, my heart and lungs are thanking me, as is my mental health, feeling great! If others want to go to gym and 'lift', great go for it, many benefits, but running rules.

I have one of those that MacPhisto threw at the front of the crowd during Desire, and caught one. Remember the crowd was like a wave that moved forward trying to catch one of those things! Luckily I was one of them. It was also my first ever U2 concert and got right to the front.

Some states, 18yo wo college degree can sub. Go work as a para then, see if you like it first.

Not a crime but there are consequences in the workplace, school, socially if one uses hate speech. Like fired, suspended, etc.....

I’ll definitely try it! I only go for about 12 hours between meals so I can definitely try to push it

I try to come up with theories on why I do the things I do when I’m fasted.
I've read that too, something like a starving animal is just sitting around, its frentic. And I'm the same: fasted I can't stop moving, love it.
