  1. What if our power play that had at least 3 generational players and 1 star (before trading Jake) were even middling instead of an actual momentum sapper?

  2. Lot of what if posts the past weeks. Evidence that the Penguins were a fringy team all season.

  3. Unfortunately, you are right. Had there been a competent power play and a team that didn’t rely on Sid so much, we wouldn’t be in this position.

  4. We got to win our next two games. I think if we do we will make it.

  5. I hate these things so much. I wouldn’t even pay 10 cents to own one of these things. The digital defeats the whole purpose of a card. Might as well just take a picture, same thing as “owning it”

  6. This isn't a Bedard-only phenomena. It should be any player. It is always cheaper to buy the singles you are looking for.

  7. No player in specific, but I did buy a lot of boxes of various years once I got into the hobby such as 20-21, 21-22,22-23 Flagship. It’s very fun to open boxes, however, I started to realize it’s not a really smart move to make. It’s hard to get value when even if you pull the best young guns you don’t get your money’s worth. Prices of boxes generally continue to go up in the long term from release day onwards, and the value of the young guns decreases over a long period of time after release day, unless there is a generational talent ( Matthews, McDavid, Makar) those superstar players are the exception. And on release day, you may open a box and get 100$ worth of cards and think you are getting your moneys worth, but generally speaking that 100$ worth of cards turns it to 40$ worth of cards in the long term. And yes, I understand hobby box gives you a chance at the big cards such as YG exclusives and high gloss, but you are probably better off placing a massive parlay with that money rather than spending that money on a box trying to hit a valuable YG exclusive or HG So moral of the story, unless there is a generational talent such as McDavid, Matthews, Makar. Just wait for a year after to buy the best YG, or two from the set instead of paying more for a hobby box near release day that guarantees you nothing.

  8. This is mostly because of a shift in interest to flagship now that everyone is chasing Bedard’s young guns. The prices will likely only go up for flagship. For lower end products such as o pee chee, the price may fall. However, trends suggest that in general the price of 2023-24 will unfortunately just continue to go up.

  9. Wait… this is not bedard 😡😡😡😡😡. How does this affect Bedard’s legacy? Mods remove this. 😡😡😡😡

  10. Put them in a box and let them collect dust in the storage room.

  11. I was in a card shop today talking about the bedard young gun card, I don’t collect cards I blame this sub, tempted to buy a box and try my luck

  12. You should buy a box. Join us. Fair warning though it is addicting once you start collecting.

  13. Just guys I PC. I was lucky enough to pull bedard in a blaster. So instead of spending a bunch of more money chasing that I want to collect more of crosby and Kaprizov. Then maybe start collecting more Carey Price and Fleury.

  14. Everyone should join their lives and say that they are scammers so that we can warn everyone. I did it and I got banned lol . Everyone do it.

  15. Sure but don’t expect generational prospects or guys that will play in the next 4 or 5 years. Look what Detroit did with all their non-lottery high picks.

  16. That’s what I think Pittsburgh can do as well if they draft well.

  17. That was an example of what you don’t want… they missed the playoffs 7 straight years and are barely in the wildcard race because they didn’t get any elite prospects.

  18. They will only get better from here. Why, you think we can become contenders before 7 years of our rebuild. Our rebuild will take a long time.

  19. Let’s not go there. Thank you! Positive vibes only!!!!

  20. It’s true though. This team sucks and we should free him so he can win another cup. Edit: you guys are downvoting me because you are in denial and deep down know it’s true that we suck. We had our dynasty and now we suck. Such is the cycle of sports. We’ve been very fortunate to witness the three cups and this great era of hockey! Embrace this fresh start. Look at it this way, us younger fans will get to for the first time experience the joys of seeing their team drafting top prospects and those prospects developing. We will be contenders again, eventually. Sports is a cycle, can’t be good always. This fan base needs to stop acting so spoiled. What do you expect dubas to do? Build another dynasty?

  21. I do want him to win another cup, obviously but I want him to win it with the Pens.
