Small property owners are being forced to go through months to years of court hearings and rescheduling all while losing revenue and spending more money on legal fees.

  14. Not even sbout keeping it up to date there’s a ton of paperwork required by the city now that smaller owners either can’t do or cost them a fortune to do. Some buildings are so old they’re be better off demolished to be rebuilt. You can only patch a hole so many times.

  15. I’ve spoken to his management and pleaded my case, they gave him the message but he just said no. I haven’t tried convincing him that his warehousing strategy is bad. I think I’d need to present some anecdotal evidence / case studies to convince him.

  19. I’m curious about the specifics. Normally bad tenants should lose their voucher. But Professional tenants are really good at playing outside organizations. If they have a disability they can find churches and charities pay for rent. While they wreck your place they reach out to charities and represent themselves as the victim that need to get out of a terrible situation.

  25. the building will not allow him to fix since he messed up a lot so contractor agreed to pay out of pocket but has ghosted and i called his insurance since i’m listed as an additional insured it’s just taking a while so wasn’t sure how this works :/

  28. I even applied for counter/cashier positions on top of prep, and still nothing. I even applied to bubble tea stores and none of them have called me back for first day of work either. The worst responses I've gotten was "maybe you suck at your interviews" and "do you have customer service experience? how many jobs have you had?" mind I tell you although first one discouraged me and hurt me, the second one was actually none of their business and it annoyed me even more.

Not all of them, but after working for DSS/HRA cash assistance for 6 years (no longer work there thank god), I can tell you a good 70% of people applying for arrears assistance have done it multiple times. They abuse the system because they know HRA will pay the rent arrears and give FHEPS for a year (free rent for a year).

  43. That's what I observed - a playful dog. If the dog is under 3 years old, the tendency for play may be to be expected. I don't see a hyper, unmanageable, dangerous dog, but an excited, playful happy one.

In going on 2 decades almost in another 2 years ish first decade was bad I sad young didn’t know better wasn’t healthy conscious second decade after I became disabled from the lupus I was more aware and have fared better health wise however I never fully recovered from the disability so not sure if I can say in better
