  1. Ok sounds like a few things might be going on.  How long have you had this thing?  Was it printing ok before and then something happened or was it always like this? Have you changed slicer settings significantly?  If the filament is coming out but not as much as it should, that could be a partial clog or the slicer settings could be wrong for the nozzle size or the e steps could be mis calibrated maybe the feeder gear is stripped or slipping.  The nozzle being too close to the bed is usually adjustable via the z offset and you can usually go in and manually raise the z axis on the control panel.  Try not to manually force the gears if they seem still that might make things worse.  Depending on what's wrong you could pull out a clog manually, maybe just replace the nozzle, the hot end might be clogged up, the bowden tubes might be clogged or the whole thing could be a slicer settings issue

  2. We've had it for about six weeks. It was working good. I printed something with ABS and it was good. Removed filament and put in PLA and tried to print a PLA file that previously worked, and started having difficulties. Tried a few files that worked with PLA before, and none of them printed properly. Tried loading a PLA filament we used before in case the new filament we tried was bad quality, with no improvement.

  3. Ok you might have a clog in the nozzle assume you did change profiles when you were switching filament types.  Have you tried clearing the nozzle with the needle it came with? You could also remove it with the little wrench and swap in the .4 or. 6 and try printing with them to see if it works.  If not it might be the hot end

  4. We don't have room between the print bed and the nozzle to really use the needle. We don't have a .4 or .6 and wouldn't know how to change them even if we did.

  5. 90s Trek was expensive, though. TNG was called Paramount's million dollar gamble. DS9's pilot cost as much as a movie. VOY's pilot was the most expensive TV episode ever made until (I think ) Lost came out. DS9 had the largest standing set in Hollywood with the Promenade.

  6. What sci-fi contemporaries should we compare TNG to? Sci-fi didn't really exist in the 80s and wasn't really respected in the industry after some flops in the late 70s very early 80s. They would occasionally try but all flopped--Hard Times on Planet Earth, Crossworlds, etc. The V miniseries succeeded, but when they tried to capitalize on that by doing a regular series, it flopped. TNG was a gamble simply because it was a sci-fi series, and it was taken directly to syndication rather than to a network. It wasn't until TNG's success was sci-fi looked at positively again.

  7. If you want to support local, if you go into a flagstore near you, they will likely have it. The only flag store I'm aware of offhand is the one in Rochester and can confirm they have new full size and desk size flags. A Google search should help you find a flag store near you.

  8. If they want to lose out on sales they do. This is why UPS was forced to start making people deliver on Saturdays.

  9. I don't think those selling cars really want to, and those buying cars don't really care either way.

  10. When the liquor store law was being debated, there was at least one liquor store that didn't want it to pass because then they'd have to pay staff to be there. This person obviously never heard of personal choice on just not opening on Sundays and never heard of things like Hobby Lobby or Chic Fil A. He thought if they allowed him to be open on Su days that it meant he had to be.

  11. Didn't know we had a Fuzzy's here. It's been awhile since I've been to one and may need to go.

  12. If you're talking about a license, the city does not require this for dogs, cats, or ferrets. Legally, they must either be microchipped or wear an ID tag, but people don't do those things, either. The cat also must have their rabies shots. 13. I think the song is great and loved it the first time I heard it. She’s a fantastic performer, can really sing live and entertain the audience. It’s the best ‘cultural/traditional’ style song in the competition by a mile so I think it has a very good chance of winning. I think it, Switzerland or Belgium will win because they’re similarly the best in their song ‘categories’ (dance song and ballad). I love other songs too but several require more than a single listen to warm up to or need more ‘meme power’ and cult following to grow into. For example, I love Croatia’s entry but it didn’t win me over on the first few listens but after getting caught up in the hype and love on here, it’s jumped up to be one of my favourites. Most viewers of Eurovision will hear and judge the songs on one, maybe two, performances.

  14. Personally I disagree that Switzerland and Belgium are the best in their style of music, and I personally have both songs ranked low. Unfortunately, Switzerland will probably win, making this the first year since 2017 that I didn't like the winning song.

  15. I think we're more likely to see the smaller independents struggle. Joe's, Woody's, El Buen Vino, Silver Lake. Just my thoughts on it. I'm in the industry and nobody is happy about this move.

  16. I don't compare prices between places, so I don't know if Total Wine is cheaper than other places (but I assume they are). What excites me the most is the variety. I can go into a Total Wine and find what I'm looking for. Heck, I can go into Woodman's grocery store's liquor store in Onalaska and usually fi d what I want. I go into Andy's or Apollo--not only do they not have it, they often have never heard of it. If the places in town had the variety, they wouldn't need to worry about Total Wine, so I consider this totally on them.

  17. Thanks for the info! Are the city buses safe? Are there lot of sketchy people in the city?

  18. Yes, the busses are safe. However, during busy times, expect them about every 30 minutes. Every hour during slower times. Also, they are designed to get people to/from downtown so not as convenient if downtown isn't your start or end point.

  19. We just ate lunch there today for the first time. We ordered the queso dip as an appetizer, I had the mulitas and my wife had the quesobarria tacos. I know it is new, but I'm not sure when exactly they opened. That said, I will attribute my next comments to potentially an ill-prepared opening with hopes they'll find their stride.

  20. Thank you for posting this. It could very well just be opening hiccups, but it does make me less likely to try this place, especially since we have plenty other Mexican and birria options in town.

  21. I used to be a serial blood donor but became anemic because of it. Even if I only did it a couple times a year after that, I would have issues. Now I try to give platelets 2-3 times a year instead.

  22. It's feasible. One area you may struggle in is restaurant prices. We regularly travel all over the country, and Minnesota is on the higher end of average and sometimes higher than average when it comes to restaurant pricing. If you already live in MN, then it shouldn't be too big of an issue.

  23. Forecast calls for an inch of snow Saturday March 23, 2024. Could be more, could be less. We'll see.

  24. Where did you get the flag from? Haven’t really looked into em yet

  25. I'm sure most flag stores have them. The one in Rochester does. Full size and little desk size at a minimum. I bought a desk size one from them. I bought a garden flag one from Flags For Good.

  26. Mayo Clinic says that there is medical reason to support choosing Standard time or Daylight Saving Time.

  27. Is it happening or not? I thought we weren’t falling back last fall but we did anyway. Is this the year that it stays early?

  28. The state passed the law, but for it to take effect, the US Congress needs to either switch for the whole country or give states permission to stay on DST.

  29. Opinion: I wish they had reserved a default to standard time instead of DST.

  30. Why do you want it to get dark so early in the evening in winter? And why do you want it to start getting light out around 3:30 in the summer? Even though I'm an early riser, I still prefer it to be light out later in the day.

  31. doctors and scientists prefer standard time over DST also

  32. Exactly. The new design is a perfect representation of MN being the North Star State as well as MN Land of Sky Blue Waters. Two of our main slogans in one design. People saying it's generic are opposed to change.

  33. Congress doesn't have anything to do with it. Even the state legislature doesn't have to do anything. The only way it doesn't become the next state flag is if the legislature passes a law rejecting it.

  34. Howard already works for NASA--he was on loan to Caltech, though I can't remember the exact phrasing that they used. The NASA facility he worked for was the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which is just north of Pasadena.

  35. I'm a little underwhelmed this year. I've only watched since 2017, but every year, there are about 15-20 songs that get put on my permanent play list. This year, I have yet to make the decision to add any of the songs released to my permanent play list. That's not to say that the songs aren't good, and I have a handful of countries that I would love to see win based on their songs, just not anything that I'm getting excited about.

  36. Naw, the cities, Roch, and Duluth are really the only blue strongholds in the state. The rest is pretty red.

  37. Olmsted County only recently (2008) became a leans democratic county--prior to that, Olmsted County was reliably conservative. If you want to look at the 2020 election, yes, Olmsted County went for Biden by a large margin, but I think that was more due to the Trump administration stance and comments on Covid rather than a sharp change in how conservative or liberal the area is.

  38. I think it's the total opposite. Unlike Annalisa's song Angelina's catches you at first listen. But at the same time Angelina's song remains there while Annalisa's song grows the more you listen to it. But in Esc the first listening is what counts.

  39. I don't know if the Italian songs are released prior to Sanremo--if they are, I didn't listen to any of them. However, Annalisa's song was instantly one of my favorites on a first listen. It took about 3 listens before I decided that Angelina Mango had a good song.

  40. LOL that's what I was thinking--so, South Dakota's hot sauce is just ketchup? I hope it's not too spicy for them.

  41. And this just perpetuates the system we have. People won't vote for a third party candidate, so they will never do well, so the people who do vote third party are made to feel like they are throwing their vote away for a third party candidate. If people did vote third party, the third parties would have more weight.

  42. Why call it “secretly,” then? The mayor didn’t know and apparently didn’t consent, as they state it as the reason to stop further one-on-one conversations with Dennis. 🤷‍♀️

  43. The mayor doesn't have to consent. All it takes is one person in a conversation to consent to it being recorded. She should have let the mayor know, but she was under no legal requirement to do so. There may have been other inappropriate things happening, but legally recording a conversation isn't one of them, even if no one else knew it was being recorded.
