She fit in perfectly to the universe, and what she does near the end of the game is incredibly important to the story going forward. She in no way feels forced or that she takes away from Alans story or time, she only enhances it when you play as him. Which you can also choose to do at literally anytime in the game for the most part.

The story of Anakin becoming a Jedi, falling in love with Padme, he brotherhood with Obi-Wan, and his eventual fall to Palpatine and the dark side all make it through. Also episode 3 is good and I stand by that.
