For shows like Dandadan, Zom100 and others its more about the IP owners for the anime deciding that they won't sell the license with exclusivity attached to it, they believe the show should be widely available

Yes, that's the standard, 2 or 3 episodes per volume, 60 to 100$ dollars each volume, one volume per month
