  1. Can tell from the Absolute Territory that Yuki isn't even top-2 of her series. Will ignore any arguments that don't acknowledge this issue

  2. She doesn't have the artillery or the Slavic boost, but what she lacks in both she compensates with extreme Bratty energy

  3. Daily thread seem to think we don't like Train

  4. I won’t pretend to know the intricacies of how these deals are negotiated but I could see a big difference in CR’s desire to acquire an extremely hyped Shonen Jump series over a cosplay romance show. 2.5D is unlikely to be the breakout smash hit that MDUD ended up being as that kind of success is not normal.

  5. That's not the issue, the issue is licensing a show where they won't have the full western rights, which makes the license less compelling for them, same case for Netflix, Disney and so on

  6. That’s exactly the issue I was describing though. I show like dandadan, a highly anticipated Shonen Jump property is worth picking up even if they don’t have sole western rights whereas a show with less appeal might not be worth it for CR.

  7. For shows like Dandadan, Zom100 and others its more about the IP owners for the anime deciding that they won't sell the license with exclusivity attached to it, they believe the show should be widely available

  8. The goal is far, but social media is reminding me of it every time I open an app

  9. Holy shit, this is a god tier interview that I almost missed, luckily I checked new today

  10. Another Nadeshiko? Now I remember where I saw that name before while watching Train

  11. Can't believe you had a biblically accurate big hat witch there and questioned this

  12. Sorry Jellyfish. You are again getting pushed aside for my next pick-up.

  13. I'm about halfway through this show on Crunchyroll which is listed at 1 season 28 episodes. Is vol 4 simply the last 8-10 episodes?

  14. no, ep 13 to 16, still 3 volumes left to finish the series, but all the eps are on crunchyroll

  15. thanks for the response, is it typical for shows to be released on physical media this way? I'm assuming it will eventually be one box with all episodes.

  16. Yes, that's the standard, 2 or 3 episodes per volume, 60 to 100$ dollars each volume, one volume per month

  17. There have been way more controversial things that have gotten the pass, but I suppose it's possible given the political nature of that? Still I wouldn't think it is the reason.

  18. That's the a realistic reason I can see for American based companies to avoid this show

  19. Trust the gamerunglued, good replies

  20. I LOVE how you picked those clips tailor made for me, feat Kanade

  21. That's a fuckin perfect pic, how I didn't see anyone using it before for memes is beyond me

  22. 14th Twitter gains, let's go Towa-chan, Noel-chan and...uhh.. whatshername-chan1!!!

  23. Loved how that shady dude at the start talked about smuggling tropical birds and then Akira buys a parrot from Brazil at the store...what are the odds they didn't get that the legal way?

  24. Only late night show there, and 90% of all anime airs late in the night, so that's pretty good

  25. Ow boy... people can post Abema/Niconico stuff here without any context, which is equivalent to me posting the Karma Ranks in a random Japanese sub and they thinking that's the go to place to see what is successful among all the western audience

  26. I will definitely tag you since it has to do with Josei content and the niche they found in the streaming era

  27. Of course Blue Archive, the Doomsday Train, Jellyfish, and Salad Bowl have more Niconico views than Abema. All worth live-memeing the chat. Also Rinkai and Highspeed Etoile for production value jokes.

  28. Use the real title and half the comments will be about the title

  29. Yes, Tao spin-off would be cool but realistically best we will get is a fan made one from a Comiket

  30. He isn't lying, it didn't make them a lot of money, which is the standard for studios in the situation MAPPA was during that time

  31. This YOI discourse feeds into huge pet peeve of mine in relation to the anime community which is the generalization of anime studios by people who don't even know the existence of many works from said studios.

  32. Legitimately tired of this discussion since I already did it 93873828373773 throughout the last few years

  33. Oh yeah, I can talk about this one at length as I followed it from the inception and the humble beginnings all the way to becoming one of the major hits of the year

  34. I was joking, i am from Brazil that was i said "Tokyo Equivalent", which is São Paulo here

  35. Lol from our Tokyo Equivalent back to our Hokkaido Equivalent where I live
