  1. Indie. All I can think of is “We named the dog Indiana.”

  2. I always thought that was much better than being a Henry Jr. I wouldn't want a first name that's the same as a relative, much less a parent. My name is on the wife's list, and while I don't hate the name itself, I do hate how popular it is.

  3. The husband is just pitching a hissy fit. He's saying she will have a problem with him calling their daughter by her middle name, but the wife has given no indication that will be the case. He just wants an excuse to push one of his dumb names on the poor child.

  4. You know, rereading it, I think that I was giving him too much credit thinking that he knew his wife well when I originally read it and commented. I would love to hear her side of the story because he's now coming across to me as more of an unreliable narrator.

  5. I think that the OOP is a bit odd for wanting to take all their appliances with them. It makes a bit more sense that it's for 4 months instead of a shorter break. If I were roommates with someone who was this concerned about their appliances, I'd prefer that they take them with them, frankly, because they seem like they could get upset if they came back and found their things in worse condition at all, even if it were normal wear and tear. I think the main thing is that they should have given their roommates a heads up since these were items that were used communally.

  6. I'm not sure if you're in the U.S., but I just want to mention that I immediately associate the name Marjorie with Marjorie Taylor Greene. That could be a common association if you use that name, so just be aware.

  7. I know that is the only thing I hate about the name Majorie! But it was also my grandmother's name and I have loved it for a lot longer that MTG as been around.

  8. That's completely fair! I say use it if you love it that much, whether it be as a first name or a middle. I feel like Jorie would also be so cute as either a given name or nickname!

  9. For whatever reason Adele DeLong sounds like a pornstar name to me haha. I also think Adele Catherine lacks flow. Imo Catherine Adele sounds way better.

  10. Adele DeLong sounds like "a dildo long" to me. I agree that it very much gives off a pornstar vibe. Catherine would be a better choice!

  11. I love Indira! My suggestion is my favorite Indian name, Aarti. Indie and Aarti sound so cute together, IMO, without being too matchy matchy.

  12. This reminds me of when I sent my FIL our baby registry at his request so that he could get something off it for our daughter.

  13. I was about to say the boys read the first part of this story last year, but I just looked, and it's under patreon. June 2, 2023, episode #158

  14. Thanks, Midscore! I couldn't remember if they covered the original story or I had just read it previously.

  15. If I named one after my grandpas, Charles + Blair, he'd be Chair 😂 Or Blarles.

  16. I love both names. I would say if Violet is your favorite, use it, even if it's popular. Personally, I've never met a Violet of any age. My name was #13 for the year I was born and even more common in subsequent years. So I've met countless people with my name over my lifetime. But now, a top name would have a smaller percentage of kids named that than a couple decades ago. My son's name was around #60 in the U.S. the year he was born, and we've only met 2 other kids with the same name in the last decade.

  17. I'm with the husband on this one. He's right about not being able to consent, especially the younger two.

  18. Yes, maybe if they want to test the waters, they could allow the teen, as long as they consent, to be part of content. I'd still be extremely wary even then.

  19. Imagine finding out that your partner is this stupid. I'm just speechless.

  20. Adding the link to a 2nd post she's made since here. He dumped her!
