  1. Bam. The shops are getting what they're paying for, unfortunately the customers like you in this case aren't (yes it's warranty, but hypothetically speaking).

  2. I’m assuming it was worth it in the end, not in the same predicament but always had this type of plan in the back burner in case things do go shitty in the tech world, majored in economics before I dropped out due to financial reasons but still made my way into the automotive world with no experience (from Hyundai to currently Audi tech, learned along the way) you think trade school wouldn’t be bad for economics to become an accountant like you are?

  3. you think trade school wouldn’t be bad for economics to become an accountant like you are? --- Just to make sure, what exactly are you asking in regards to trade school and economics on becoming and accountant?

  4. How is it being an accountant and would trade school be a good option for that (if you know of course)

  5. Came here to recommend him and seen this, love it

  6. Scotty Kilmer is the automotive version of clickbait. There is almost nothing that guy says that is factual and he even makes videos contradicting what he previously said in other videos.

  7. I see they still have the Versa in manual for really cheap, is it worth it? I’m 21 and recently got into a car accident that totaled my last car and currently looking for another one, any suggestions?

  8. Redo and upgrade your whole suspension, upgrade your diff as well, makes the whole car feel better in terms of handling

  9. Yes recently very minor crash The air bags sign is just out forever not after the crash

  10. Can’t be minor if this is happening, I thought mine was minor until it got totaled after it got taken apart for inspection

  11. What do you think? what could be the issue?

  12. Not sure, pinpoint the general area of the noise and get to disassembling, also double check the area of the minor accident, where it occurred I mean

  13. Same here I have the wing you have and every other g including my fiancés has a different wing on it

  14. Gen 1 which is 03-05 has the whale tail spoiler the Gen 2 which is 06-07 has the smaller one, supposedly they’re interchangeable so the holes should line up perfectly

  15. It’s your control arms, upper and lower, and your bushings. Don’t bother getting an alignment until you’ve replaced the arms, you’ll do the same thing to a brand new set

  16. Agreed, lower arms take massive shits, my G tires were looking like that until they blew out on the road cause of the alignment/bad lower control arms, replace them asap OP.

  17. Damage looks worse than it is. Don't think it's totalled.

  18. Seeing that there’s frame labor in the estimate..yeah.

  19. You’re correct, it is, I think the high pressure side

  20. I know I haven't been in the industry long, but I've grown a lot since I was a lube tech and working on my own car in my driveway. I'm ready to take on a new challenge and more cars than just one brand

  21. Amen to that brotha, I just transitioned from Hyundai/Genesis to Audi a few weeks ago, good luck on your journey!

  22. Everyone saying it’s an engine mount when it’s the transmission/torque mount used to prevent it from excessively rocking back and forth🤦🏽‍♂️oh well

  23. The DE engines, which you have, consume oil. It's just an inherent flaw in the design they MIGHT have fixed in the Rev-Up but definitely fixed in the HR. Not a big issue, just keep an eye on the dip stick and top off on regular intervals between oil changes. Perfectly fine, perfectly normal.

  24. Thanks for the comment. But the fuel economy on them is very high. It's not a car that I can commute 180 kilometers everyday with it. I would like to get Elantra N as well, but I will be commuting with the car I am gonna be purchasing. So I need something better on gas and still looking good/sporty woth some good tech. Pretty much balancing everything. I haven't found anything else closer to these specs. Looks like you are a Hyundai technician, I have never owned any Hyundai before. What do you think about these 2023 Elantra N Line's reliability, engines, or any issues etc. Lot of people said they had very bad experiences with these cars and also bad supports from the dealership as well. What do you think about all this? Or what car would you buy if you were me?

  25. Ooooh I see now, N lines don’t really give much issues honestly, very rare instances. Usually the rear view camera across all Elantras tend to go bad, which is a common issue with Elantras, sonata and Santa Fe, nothing crazy. The 1.6T is legit, haven’t see catastrophic issues on those, however transmission is questionable. I haven’t see a LOT of them come in but I have replaced one before myself. Overall not a bad purchase if you want bang for buck. DCT shifts fast of course but if you want that fun factor then manual FTW.

  26. This is a perfect reply man I really appreciate your comment. I'm actually not really well informed about this DCT transmissions or this elantra N line has dry or wet transmission etc. And I'm looking for an automatic transmission. I would like to experience manual joy with a real sports car instead of this. This car will be only for commuting on highway everyday and since I will be driving the car a lot, I prefer to enjoy its tech on the way instead of its being fast or its acceleration etc. But when I compare this one with its equal competitors(civic, jetta etc.), Elantra N-Line has more specs and horsepower than them with a similar price range. But again, I have never owned any Hyundai in my life before, and I'm not really sure how reliable this car is. Based on your comments, sounds like it's an okay purchase, but your comment on the transmission scared me a little bit. Most of the people on the comments, said that they had to replace their engines, transmission and they were not getting anymore hyundais in their lifes again. I didn't know hyundai is that bad tho. I also consider new Honda civics 2022-2024 models, they are okay but just the design and the tech inside on elantra, impresses me more than a civic. But on the engine or transmission side, looks like civic will be a better option. I'm actually confused little bit and don't know how to go from here anymore. Your comment on the elantra 1.6T transmission, scared me a bit and not sure what car to go with. Because probably, whatever car I will purchase, I will be driving it minimum for 2 years and adding 45k kilometers on it every year. In this case, tell me which car you would buy lol. It can be any car or any brand doesn't matter. And the max I can pay is 32k CAD so, just keep that in mind as well. Thanks for your comment anyways really appreciate it.

  27. It’s a Dry clutch transmission for the N line specifically just to let you know, and yeah in terms of reliability of the transmission is a little iffy, questionable honestly. In terms of choosing an Elantra N line or like a Civic accord sport? If I want fun factor (manual) then accord 2.0T sport (manual) specifically, they don’t make them any more but they’re fun as hell, not sure about a civic sport though I’m sure they’re on the economical side. Automatic then Honda sport most likely. Open up your options though OP and look around. You can also cross post to

  28. Yes and no, depends on the estimate approved by Hyundai but usually the engine, labor, coolant, oil and service kits are charged to Hyundai, any other accessories like hoses and belts is customer pay though

  29. I worked for hyundai for about two weeks. got tired of doing engine swaps for 6 hrs pay. awful

  30. Bro I don’t blame you, I just quit 2 weeks ago after working over a year and a half. I could go on and on about my experience, it was my first technician job though so the experience was great in a way, Audi tech now.
