Sometimes shares are borrowed so MM’s don’t FTD. We did see some shorting today but not the millions worth they had, so likely they are limiting FTD’s. There is so much pressure right now….

Thanks for the reply. Haha yes that last part is the one that concerns me most. I have a similar bear thesis based upon the past decade plus of Fed QE which I suppose to your point filters through to the corporate level and inflates earnings/growth to unrealistic levels. I'm no Mike Burry but it does seem like things need to revert back to a longer-term trend line which we still seem to be a good ways above. I have trouble coming up with a long term bull thesis right now.
One of the most important things about trading/investing is keep emotions out of it. It’s super hard and something I’m not sure I’ll ever stop actively working on but it’s one of the easier ways to be sloppy.

I’m still short term bullish. I don’t see much to push us to the next leg down until the next fed meeting. We’ll see what, if any, affect SLD has tomorrow/the rest of the week. There might be some buying opportunities.

Obviously if you want to beat the index you can't just buy the index. The point of buying the S&P500 isn't to beat the index, it's to match the index return. Because your odds of beating the index is low over the long run.

This guy is showing you what DCA’ing into index funds look like. Big pile of money accumulated over a presumably long period of time. Not good returns this year because we’re in a bear market but overtime he’ll do well and compounding gains are quite a lovely thing.
