I think it was a perfect example as to why these 'gaps' don't need to be filled on screen; the writers weren't good enough to think of a clever reason as to why Obi or Vader wouldn't kill the other, so they dumbed them down to "I'll pretty much hurt them and walk off, probably dead" which felt really out of character. Obi was ready to kill Anakin, but not Vader? Weird.

If you have amplify agony and some DoT data discs, I used CLS for Padme teams: they basically delete enemy characters with those discs, and while you take a bunch of damage, as long as you target JKA with Han's first shot, they won't get to move because of all the resisted debunks, once protection goes up
