An amazing showing.

I needed this today

  1. You never have to feel this way again! Good luck friend. I'll be looking forward to your post on Jan 2nd, hopefully to say that you have 4 days sober.

  2. Checking in now to say 4 days sober :) thanks for the support

  3. Super proud of you, and impressed! Keep it up friend! You can do this, one day at a time.

  4. Love it! Someone called this the "pug plop" in another post...

  5. They're so good with just lemon and butter but I would love to have one with fruit.

  6. Came here to say this. Lots of melted butter and a squeeze of lemon is my favorite. Super simple to make too! And I'm not Dutch :)

  7. Looks very much like a kidney to me. Especially after you opened it up.

  8. I live in the south and have never seen anyone just walking around with a gun on their hip. I've only ever even seen a gun once, and that was when someone showed me their home defense gun. I hate when people lump a big number of states together like they are all the same.

  9. I live in WA state (so, arguably "the north") and I saw a guy open carrying a gun in Walmart. Not the norm, but there are those people everywhere. I choose to carry mine concealed (with a license, of course).

  10. Congratulations on 3 years friend! We have the same anniversary date! How cool! What an amazing thing to be thankful for!

  11. Yep, airborne warning and control system, or AWACS. Lots of them flying over Ukraine right now.

  12. He does. He is 13 y/o and losing some bladder control :( but as you can see he is a still a happy boy. (He is also a stubborn pug, so he would rather pee inside if the grass is wet...)

  13. You've got my support friend. You are not alone. I was exactly where you were almost 6 years ago. You are doing the right thing. AA saved my life. If you don't drink, things will only get better. Your rock bottom is when you decide to stop digging. IWNDWYT!

  14. I'm proud of you too! That is a HUGE accomplishment! IWNDWYT!

  15. Same here. I’m completely off of social media except for Reddit and much, much happier for it. I’ve been Facebook sober for two years now.

  16. I don't have social media, but, in case this is helpful... When I was newly sober, I was embarrassed to admit that I had a problem and went to treatment. Alcohol was such a big part of my identity. I thought that my friends would criticize me or even disown me. It turned out that I was so detached from reality that I was completely wrong. Almost all of my friends a family replied with a sincere, "Good for you," or "we are so proud of you" when I told them that I quit drinking. Apparently most of those close to me were well aware that I was an alcoholic. I was the only one who refused to admit it for a long time. You may be surprised how many people know someone who has suffered with addiction. Likely more people would support you, than would judge you. IWNDWYT!

  17. Good Charlotte. I went back and listened to a few songs for nostalgia's sake and just found myself cringing. Very melodramatic.
