Hi, so I have two options and my budget is $6,000. Should I buy a 2002 Buick Regal with 80k miles or should I buy a better branded car 2005 Honda Accord with 143k miles? Which car will last me longer?? Buick being $2,500 and Honda being $4,900. Should I have extra money in my pocket just in case?

I had a hospital stay for 2 nights and got the bill for $19k. All I had was some IVs in my arm. Every time I requested the itemized document and they told me they would send it. It would never come and I requested 4 times. So I didn't pay till I saw what I was paying for. I got the final notice bill and when I called them again they said they sent the bill to collections only 12 days into the final notice. I asked about my itemized document again and the rep said there was no notes of me requesting this receipt. I told them I would have to get a lawyer involved. I called the collection agency and they had no record of me. Is it possible they just dropped the bill? I'm not sure how to proceed.

Don't feed into it. They need fuel for their fire and that's your stress. Find a new roommate. Get everything in writing, this is very important. Even record your conversations with this child. They will often say untruthful things and you can say something like, well I recorded the conversation we had so I'll go check. That stops them usually bc now they are accountable for what they say. Keep a journal of any kind stating your stress level. It's hard but try to not let your emotions get to you when interacting with this person. Let their emotions make them off balance and they will trip up.

All I can say is, definitely trust your gut and be prepared for him to try to cause damage. Can you get an outside lock on your room door? One that would be hard to kick in? And can your cat stay with someone else just until he's gone? Not to put any more fear into you, but I always remind people that everyone "crazy" that you hear about in the news was somebody's "normal" friend, coworker, boss, husband, boyfriend, roommate, etc...so don't take this person's behaviors lightly. He's shown his dark side and has crossed a line with the threats. I would at least stop by the police station and talk to someone to see if there's anything you can do or anything they suggest you doing.

Yes that is a threat in my book I'd phone the non emergency and ask for the local laws and what you can do from there. People are so shitty and people like that will "leave a mark" so to speak. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this.

I bought my 04honda accord for 5k 5 years ago with 138k miles. It's been so reliable. The owner had a detailed maintenence list and that is what really sold me on it. I like Buick a lot but I don't know much about Regal. The Regal seems to low of a price to be true so I'm suspicious. My roommates keep buying cars around that price and keep draining money into them or just different cars. Like I said $2,500 with 80k miles sounds to good to be true. If any of them are "salvaged" on the title it's a red flag. I hope this helps.
