I don't think smoking is cool but at the very least it doesn't make you look like an automatic douchebag compared to vaping. And yeah I know, it was made to kick cigarettes but it still looks stupid.
The first 3 are gothic, the rest are haunted house books by women. The Woman in Black by Susan Hill, A House With Good Bones by T Kingfisher, Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, The Grip of It by Jac Jemc, The House Next Door by Anne Rivers Siddons, The Good House by Tananarive Due. *Edit: my phone autocorrected GOOD to GOLD because it's apparently a money hungry demon.
I was more annoyed that people tried to actual DEFEND THE MANSON GIRLS. Like, you know, the people who killed Tate and her friends. The argument was that the movie didn’t put them in the proper context and they just seems like victims of a cult. All these people would forget to bring up the scenes where they lay out their plan. Sorry, watching Susan Atkins get set on fire is very satisfying.
The way the series has treated Paul's character is one of the reasons why the movies have really fallen off in my estimation. I'll stand by that Furious 7 was a phenomenal ending and everything afterwards has been at best slop.
Don’t understand your point, what do you think they should’ve done with his character after Furious 7? Killing him off would’ve been a little tasteless and too close to home for a lot of people, and I think 8 and 9 did a really good job of dancing around Brian without showing him. If they do bring him back through some kind of deepfake tech, I would personally not like it, but so far I feel like they’ve done the best they can do
They really should've just stopped making movies in the series after 7. I'm usually one of those people who is fine letting people enjoy things even if they aren't my taste but I really don't get the love for the franchise anymore. I don't know how people can complain about action in Marvel movies(which I'm also not the hugest fan of), then fawn over the lifeless, stakes-free sequences of "mayhem" in the Fast movies. And I don't know if Vin Diesel is the artists people say he is but he sure does have the ego of one. He sucks up so much of the oxygen that it sacrifices much of the ensemble nature. The only thing I can give Vin at this point is he wasn't in Hobbs & Shaw.
I kinda had the exact opposite reaction. Phoenix is playing Beau pretty realistically that watching Aster torture him for 3 hours wasn't really funny. Like the scene where
We literally live in a country where teenagers swear into the military at FootBall games.

The House Next Door and The Grip of It sound good!
I don't know if it's fully horror but I started reading The Magus by John Fowles. Has very creepy vibes.
Sad that Rick and Trudi Frazer never made anything else together.
It was crazy when people just wouldn't let go about Bruce Lee's portrayal in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (which might be my favorite QT film now)

Am I the only one who isn't super into Casablanca? I watched it for the first time 5 or 6 years ago and didn't love it.
I contend Under the Skin is the best movie of the 21st Century.
I’ve watched The Departed in a class before
The comments on this guy’s site are consistently insane.
We’re going to get a fully CGI Paul Walker in one of these right?

I didn't fine anyone empathizing with the dude in Midsommar, I saw many people 'yasqueen' the movie after he was raped and murdered...

Brody taking 1,000 words to say what Ebert said in about 12… there’s some joke about editing here
That's why Roger is the GOAT. Wish more modern critics would adapt his no bullshit no filler style.
