My second thought hearing about T was: what are Florida or Texas going to invent to indict Biden as retaliation. To conservative talking points, the flood gates are open, and, regardless of any kind underlying criminal activity, if you arrest my guy, I'll arrest your guy. The subtext being the reverse cargo cult: all presidential indictments are performative.
I assume most conservatives in Florida are rooting for DeSantis. I don’t think they will retaliate over it, but just continue their push towards fascism by any means.

I don’t remember exactly where I saw it first, I believe it was in an art class as a kid, but I was so enamored with it that I made a paper mache bowl and painted it with clouds against a blue sky and a green apple in the middle. It was horrendously malformed and looks more like a hat than a bowl, but my mom kept it for a long time. I eventually asked her to get rid of it, but it was present for a long period of my life.
As a parent with a kid in public school, I think it is absolutely insane that private schools can legally obtain taxpayer money. Public schools are under very strict rules and regulations BECAUSE they are publicly funded. Teachers are underpaid, overworked, and constantly in danger from disease, violence, and threat of termination.
My school district, by law, has to bus private and religious school students or pay a penalty for every single student we refuse to bus. It's just shy of half a million per year to bus less than a standard elementary bus load of students to the 8 private schools our district is required to offer transport.
We have to apply to different better schools within the county, and only one of them has a bus that comes anywhere near my neighborhood besides the default one. I would greatly appreciate if there were more funds to get public school kids to their schools, but I would be LIVID if any of that went to a private school! All of the private schools here are unaffordable to me. They should be responsible for the transportation of their kids and not get subsidized by the state.
