1. I see you mentioned therapy for you both. What about one on one for yourself. You can't control what he does, but you can control YOU. I see the hesitation that a lot of people have about therapy, but if you have a good therapist it is SOOOOO helpful. I'm sure you already know this, but he needs therapy to figure out why he lets his mother control his life and how he can put and end to it.

  2. Thank you 😊 yeah I’ve been in therapy myself for years starting with when I was feeling ignored and disliked by MIL way back when we first got married. I felt excluded, ostracized by very cliquey MIL, SIL and BIL’s wife.

  3. Yeah I get it, my husband has a million excuses for not trying therapy. He finally said he's willing to try couples, but not individual.

  4. It's great when you get an amazing doctor. Good luck with everything. Taking care of your mental health is so important.

  5. When I was MDI, my fast acting was pens, basal was vials. For that same reason. Accidentally injected fast acting instead of basal and wound up in the ER overnight.

  6. My aunt is in the same boat. She uses the Freestyle. She loves it. Is that an option?

  7. Yes she was. She's not your mother nor your doctor. She should keep her opinions to herself.

  8. I use natural butters and oils. I make my own body butter, but in a pinch will use one of the butters alone. OTC stuff doesn't really work for me.

  9. I've been using Dexcom since the pandemic started. I think I've had maybe 6 replaced. A couple for body scans (MRI) that required removal), one for a bad bleeder, and like two that got stuck when I tried to apply them.

  10. I was that kid at that age. At that point, I didn't give a fuck. Teenage years and hormones are a challenge by itself. Add it diabetes and well, you can imagine. She has to want to change. There is not a thing you can say. It's all on her.

  11. … I think your insane for eating peanut butter and celery together. Celery is gross enough but PB is worse. That’s two bad foods together!

  12. That may be a sign she is allergic but just doesn’t have the words. Interesting comparison though, electricity isn’t something that would come to my mind!

  13. Have them send a rx to your local pharmacy to hold you over... or just don't use Amazon and get the full rx at the local pharmacy.

  14. I had therapy growing up. It didn’t help that my mom had the same therapist. She just took my moms side.

  15. That was not the therapist for you. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It is hard. I know.

  16. I use my arms, abdomen, lower back--see where your is? I put it more to the back and lower so that it's hitting a more fatty area...) buttocks and thighs.

  17. You're already up and out and about. That's the coffee. Not DP.

  18. Once a week. If I'm being lazy, I'll skip a week or just cowash.

  19. I honestly think you need to move out. Go to your mom's and if he wants let him stay there. You'll be moving in together soon anyway, right? So why live miserably under her roof? What's the point?

  20. This will not get better as long as she can manipulate your husband.

  21. Yup! My husband is the same. He wants her attention, love and approval so bad that he's letting it destroy his life. For a long time I let it destroy mine too.

  22. Spending too much time in front of the mirror. Make it fun. Take some lsd or mushrooms.

  23. Youre aslo a girl so everyone thinks it’s beautiful but when you’re a guy it’s different

  24. False. LOL My husband has a gut. There are women like me that are not into skinny guys.

  25. oh I totally get where you're coming from. I don't so much as find peace, as much as I make it very clear that the second she steps out of line, I'm putting her in her place. Not even going to be nice about it. And I avoid her as much as possible. I am very visibly uncomfortable around her.. and I've been with her son for over 20 years.
