Am actual aunt. IDGAF if my sister encourages or lets her children call family friends “uncle” or “auntie”.
Interesting point. I think in my case it was the fact that the person decided that they had the title. Not the parents. Which is similar to this case. This friend is deciding before a child is born that they will have a specific position in the child’s life, for the parents. Not asking the parents what they want.

So, my best friend is autistic, has anxiety and has chronic pain. They do not qualify for disability even though they’ve applied multiple times. Centrelink would likely just make you chew through all of your savings and then reject your application offhandedly anyway.

Yeah totally! Honestly, hotel kitchens are a good place to be right now. The bigger chains will offer benefits and dishwashing, while not glamorous, is entry level and not a difficult job. As the saying goes "the hardest part of a dish washers job is showing up"
I worked as a waitress and used to help at close time with the huge backlog of dishes. The dishwasher was a cool dude. Was doing Biology at Uni and just wanted a mundane job that wouldn’t stress him out.
Call my family on a group video chat and tell them I love them. That they need to promise to look after my cats. Write down the passcodes for my various things to make probate easier I guess.

Tooth infections! Those infections get bad really quickly and can cause sepsis and death. It’s way more common than people think so please brush your teeth
Yeah, so I had dental abscesses for a number of months years ago. I was all too aware of how dangerous it was. I was on antibiotics and had to flush them out three times a day the whole time. It was seriously a kinda terrifying situation. My wisdom teeth were Impacted and needed to be taken out surgically. Being strapped for cash makes for a dangerous situation sometimes…
But why are they so angry?
