  1. As a life-long comic reader (since the 80’s), I’ll add my opinion:

  2. It’s crazy how much I feel for Kreegyr, a man who we only saw as a hologram still.

  3. A man that we know nothing about. I feel nothing for him cus the show did a terrible job on character development and introduction. I barely know who he even is

  4. That’s exactly it. He’s a statistic.

  5. What if this person simply dislikes the series? It's not a crime to dislike "Andor". Yet, so many Star Wars fans are behaving as if it was. Why do people insist that everyone harbor the same opinion on a particular topic? This seems to hint that many harbor a great deal of intolerance toward a difference of opinion

  6. You’re absolutely correct. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you follow the thread of my comments, you’ll see that my comment is exactly in line with what you’re saying: it’s subjective.

  7. Part of the appeal of Fallout (for me) is the satirical commentary of Americanism in the baby boomer era. It’s hilariously dark seeing the pro-nuclear sentiment, anti-Communist rhetoric, and undercurrent of world threats presented in a “Be Sure To Drink Your Ovaltine, Kids!” sorta way. It’s ridiculous, but in some ways, very true to the spirit of that era, just with an obvious atomic age sci-fi slant.

  8. Your description is one of the things I love the most about the series. I love that you're exploring the corpse of that world.

  9. It’s what sets it apart from absolutely everything else.

  10. It’s been years and I still feel the same way: Gunpowder should be classified as “junk” and should be able to be stored as scrap.

  11. Tell me everything you assume about this character.

  12. If you select your camp on the map you can choose to make your camp visible on the map or not. Every time you log in it's a new server. You can join with friends anytime they're online. Or hop to a random new server at will. Any quests that would matter you killed anyone will be instanced, so it won't matter.

  13. I think they should do it to Kingo of the Eternals.

  14. I always thought Aubrey Plaza would be a great Aphra

  15. Plaza has the look (especially in Ops pic) but I don't know if she could pull off the manic energy - though I may just be typecasting

  16. She can do the energy pretty well. She played a pretty crazy character on Legion a few years back. Prior to that, I always felt she was very one-note, but it finally showed that she has some great character range.

  17. I’ll preface this by saying that I’m wearing a Depeche Mode shirt right now, and they are hands down my favorite band of all-time. I really don’t have many negative things to say about their brilliant discography.

  18. Had to relisten to the song to remember what it was like.

  19. I know a lot of people love it, and that’s super cool. But really, “You Move” and “Dead of Night” are probably the only two DM songs I ever skip when they come on.

  20. I’m not really asking to have my mind changed. I’m asking for an explanation other than “it’s so compelling!” All the praise I see is so non-specific I’m trying to figure out exactly what is so compelling about it.

  21. I went out to breakfast with my girlfriend the other day. I had Swedish crepes.

  22. I fully understand that art is subjective but it’s perfectly reasonable to ask for an explanation why something is amazing.

  23. Oh for sure, but what I mean is that sometimes there really is no way to explain it.

  24. But not in the world of Star Wars. It’s essential attire.

  25. Well, to start, there’s more than one criteria needed for diagnosis, so maybe she doesn’t fully understand that.

  26. But there’s a Grey Squadron in Return of the Jedi.

  27. Count me in that group. When it was announced it sounded like something I didn’t need.

  28. There was a game called X-Wing Alliance that came out back in 1999. If I remember correctly (I haven’t played it in over 20 years), there was a mission where you had to rescue the Bothan spies. They had a stolen shuttle with the plans on board. There’s an ambush and before their ship is destroyed, they manage to get the plans to safety.

  29. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

  30. Why? Not judging, genuinely curious! I love that movie and rewatch it every year or so!

  31. I’ve loved this film since I first saw it back in 2004. Since then, when I’ve watched it over the years, I’ve felt immense sadness but also a bit of hope.

  32. You’ve still yet to see my favorite: “Rear Window”

  33. I think there’s a distinction to make. I throughly enjoy Luthen. He’s a complex, multifaceted character, who still has a lot of ambiguity. I love him to death because he’s interesting.

  34. whats ur favourite Shinya Tsukamoto film? I've only watched snake of june and wanna get a recommendation.

  35. I’m a big fan of his first two Tetsuo films and Tokyo Fist.

  36. I thought I was already watching a lot of Japanese films but seeing your list, I need to watch more.

  37. I’m a sucker for the weirder side of Japanese cinema, so I included some notable directors who have very off-kilter films.

  38. Though not set in Kyoto, here are my recommendations if you have HBO. I’ve tried to include a a variety of different types of stories.
