I think the reason it's like that though is because the way it was released on Cartoon Network was in little bite sized pieces that then go put together for the full show. So they had to have each bite sized piece entertaining for this reason.
I feel like I'm starting to become skeptical of that claim, only because so many movies (specifically horror) have made it that it seems like a way to generate buzz now. Barbarian, Smile, and Evil Dead Rise all made the same claim.
