  1. Para 3 imo I love my manix knives but honestly my para 3s bet more carry time lol

  2. I could see that happening on the burning the edges. Haven't cut anything with mine yet besides paper and hair so we'll see how it holds up.

  3. Mine rolled on probably wood or cardboard toughest things I cut with it

  4. I saw that LC200N wasn't particularly high on edge retention according to the tables on knifesteelnerds, but it was very high in toughness so wasn't sure what to expect. I'd heard it punched above its weight in edge retention though despite what the numbers might say.

  5. It does most tests I’ve seen it compares around bd1n which isn’t bad considering it’s a very tough steel that’s completely rust proof lc200n might be one of the best steels to make a fixed blade in unfortunately nobody does it lol

  6. Fucking tons I talked about it in the spyderco subreddit and got downvoted to hell my dragonfly looked almost identical to yours that being said my manix 2 in bd1n was dull and the clip has a stripped fucking screw and my spydiechef has some issues as well overall disappointed in spyderco if this continues I’m done with them why a lot for subpar quality when I can buy better for cheaper

  7. Got a k390 dragonfly should’ve just gave In and bought this also lol those Black Friday sales were crazy I was genuinely debating on getting another s90v para 2 just because and another para 3 lol

  8. How’s the bevel grind and open/close on your K390 dragon fly? I just got one in the mail today and the bevel grind is supper uneven and it isn’t smooth at all. I’m thinking about returning/exchanging it.

  9. Bevel was super uneven the open and close was fine I’ve been disappointed in my spydercos lately many have came dull I’ve had a bunch of issues lately my spydiechef was sharp but it had Lots it crazy lock stick and the lock moves to like a 100 percent lock up lol

  10. A sencut/civivi or a budget cold steel maybe a qsp or any of the other popular budget brands

  11. So update my spydiechef came in and it is actually very sharp very close to my own edges actually I was surprised by that it whittled hair lol. It was off from side to side a little but doesn’t matter imo. that being said that is the only spyderco I’ve got recently that is sharp from factory all the rest I’ve gotten I was disappointed in they sharpen up fine and hold an edge fine so no issues with them other then that all had good fit and finish

  12. So update my spydiechef came in and it is actually very sharp very close to my own edges actually I was surprised by that it whittled hair lol. 13. Whatever you say, kid. Have fun with your little $#1tpost. I’m through playing with ya.

  14. Lol ride sal glesser and spyderco harder I’m very sorry your fav brand isn’t perfect

  15. Wish the mule had a couple permanent options maybe 3 something that a balanced steel and then something for peak edge retention and another thing for toughness or corrosion resistance or whatever

  16. There are dozens of spyderco knives that offer those options. That simply isn’t what a mule knife is about

  17. Fixed blades in the roughly 3.5 to 4 inch range ? From spyderco in maxamet magnacut etc no I don’t think so I understand the point of the mule series is for ppl to test steels but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a few models that you constantly make

  18. Still waiting on KnifeCenter to ship mine. Slowest of all the websites i bought from on BF

  19. for me it’s blade hq they still haven’t shipped me my stuff wmk and knives ship free were super fast though

  20. Honestly a martini Henry would probably be a decent choice idk shit about cryptids but a big heavy bunching cartridge seems to be preferred for things like bear so maybe I think the blunderbuss might be a bit unrealistic and goofy

  21. For something like a big foot it is probably one of the best options but the blunderbuss is not a normal blunderbuss. In one of the chapters he uses it for its unique purpose

  22. I think a loading block or sharps would fit better for 1870s or a trapdoor Springfield

  23. Hard to keep poorly heat treated steel sharp.. at best it's probably 440c.

  24. Plenty of options for 20 one I used to gift to ppl was the ka bar dozier and cold steel fixed blades

  25. Same, and a 110v manix 2. All for 158, feels like I'm stealing

  26. Fucking hell I just bought a bd1n manix for 80 cause I thought it was a steal lol

  27. Only the Spyderco Seconds sale could dwarf the amazing Spyderco Black Friday deals we saw over the weekend. Crazy.

  28. S110v para 2 or 3 but most importantly you ain’t carrying it correctly

  29. If you really are set on a multitool a Swiss Army knife with a locking blade alternatively I would go with a fixed blade harder to conceal that way he’s less likely to do dumb shit like bring it to school ,more durable because kids do dumb shit More ergonomic etc fixed blade are just generally better tools then folders

  30. The Autonomy 2 is remarkably similar to the mule in shape!

  31. It is but the manix is the folding mule they seem to test new steels in the manix a lot

  32. Ahh true! There are some cool ones out there. Burl / s90v Manix is the strangest one to me, it looks funky haha

  33. I just want a magnacut manix pm2 or para 3 think I’ll be set after that or alternatively a spydiechef in a different lock really like that blade shape but yeah I always think wood on a modern looking folder looks dumb so burl and s90v definitely isn’t my thing despite s90v being my favorite steel I’ve tried

  34. A bushcrafter should be optimized for carving. If you want something for heavy duty tasks get a hatchet or a heavy chopper like a golok or parang. The one tool solution idea went out in the 1990s.

  35. Good opening mechanism, ergonomic designs, huge variety of everything but particularly steels, easily modified etc
