[Official] USMNT advance out of Group B.

  1. seriously. i was so calm the whole game and then from the 80th minute onward when it became clear we just needed to close it out i was sooo tense hahaha

  2. Iran came very close…and I just know we were inches away from a reality where they did score…

  3. ***The Falcon scream that is the stand in for Eagles on TV because ain't no one want to hear what an Eagle actually sounds like.

  4. Yeah Ibrahim Affelay, and I totally agree, I was positively surprised by their teamwork and passion displayed in this game. Some things we are going to have to be inspired by looking at the rest of our matches..

  5. Honestly the US team has mostly been exciting to watch when they're not parking the bust to protect their lead. The back 2 + GK are solid, the midfield and Dest are doing a lot of work constantly moving the game forward, Weah and Pulisic have been good for building play but not really to close it out. The US really lacks a guy who's less cute, less of a team-first kind of guy to actually have the balls to take shots.

  6. There’s a different energy here this year. Know a bunch of people watching the games, and seeing a massive amount of it on social media. Hell, even my parents are texting me about it.

  7. They are. What they maybe lack in skill they make up for in spirit. It is fun to watch, especially since the Dutch team seems to be lacking spirit and intensity.

  8. I’ve been reffing soccer in the US for about 10 years and playing for another 15. What I’m seeing these days in the youth squads compared to when I played is much more organized, coherent, possession-based, and positive. I’m hopeful this is just the beginning of what’s to come.

  9. The US only gave up one goal during the group stage, and it was a PK. The defense, especially Tyler Adams, was immense.

  10. I'll never stop talking about the performance Tim Ream has put in til the day I die. Absolutely unreal how he comes into the team after being out for over a year, and absolutely solidified our back line. I love him

  11. I feel like Robinson's performance on the left needs to be highlighted. Dude containment and forward play was fantastic.

  12. a midfield with Tyler Adams, Mckennie, Musah and little help from pulisic is by far the best advantage the U.S. has got.

  13. I think that was the goal. Bring in a super young squad to cut their teeth in a WC before it comes to the US in 26.

  14. Absolutely. I have also been very impressed with Ream. He's hardly put a foot wrong in all three games. I definitely did not expect the US defense to concede zero open play goals (and only one pen from a bonehead decision) in the group stage. Adams and the fullbacks have also been playing out of their minds.

  15. Yeah the midfield being so good and sound defensively has created a good defensive team overall. Was worried about the backline heading in but Rheam and the mids are carrying it well.

  16. They were panicking at the end, Iran was clueless and only throw ball in the box. US played better against England as defense.

  17. Hey if we chant "I believe that we will win" and "it's called soccer" for a few more days we may drive the rest of the world to suicide.

  18. Got my US citizenship this year, US advances out of groups. Coincidence?!? Clearly I'm USMNT's lucky star

  19. getting beat by the oranje folks is a much better feeling, regardless of the beating we will receive, than getting knocked out in the group stage.

  20. If GGG, of all coaches, got us to a World Cup I'd literally pray to him for the rest of my life.

  21. I’m glad Pulisic scored that goal. Because the US being knocked out of the World Cup in a scoreless draw despite not losing a single match would have been the most “soccer” thing ever for haters out there.

  22. Mr President, we have confirmed The United States of America have won vs Iran, I repeat, The United States of America have won vs Iran

  23. I think the US is further along than most probably think. They lack a legit man up top who can score. If they can produce one they are off to the races and are a serious threat. Their midfield is legit.

  24. Right. As frustrating as these matches are, international football is pretty ugly outside of a handful of teams. I’d rather be the US than Uruguay right now.

  25. They had to sacrifice Pulisic but it was worth it. Haji Wright should be judge for treason, what a fucking useless striker in those last minutes.

  26. I was glad the staff on the sidelines acted up. Feels like it let Lahoz get those cards out of his system and then he was able to let the play on the field just go.

  27. THANK YOU USA, very cool. People are in the streets of Tehran celebrating right now, when I went out it was 1 AM and the streets were PACKED. Here's a video I took:

  28. That’s fucking football right there. None of that pansy ass dick tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Men puke, men poop on the field, men deliver their new born baby on the side lines. Fucking hard core dick in the ass butterball football fuck it chuck it game time shit. Take it to the showers. Dicks get shoved in places you don’t even remember. We win together we celebrate together. Football is back baby.

  29. Tyler Adams is fucking class. Great result and fantastic experience for the second youngest team in the Cup. Hope Pulisic is alright

  30. I hear that. As an American and Holland are my #2 national team (my mom was the first in her family not born in the Netherlands) Saturday is going to be nerve wracking but the winner will get my full support going forward.
