Stuffed Shells with Meat and Cheese (Italian style)

  1. I suggest to add into the cheese mixture a few dollops of cream cheese (2-4 tablespoons depending on your liking) and if you like things to be a tad more herb-y(for lack of better terms), also add two tablespoons of a pesto sauce. You can make your own easily or buy a ready made package. Anyways it adds a lot more flavor! Also never forget to season your meat (salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder or preferably MORE crushed garlic than this recipe asks for). Sometimes I do half ground beef and half Italian sausage. It just adds a more complex flavor profile.

  2. My mom always used cottage cheese in her lasagna, when I started making lasagna I used Ricotta. Recently I decided to revisit cottage cheese in lasagna and I like it better

  3. The sounds great and I can’t wait to try it. I think I’ll be subbing out the cottage cheese tho; it grosses me out and I can’t stand it. Ricotta cheese should work!
