Are these side effects related to Cymbalta?

  1. Yes they can most definitely be side effects of Cymbalta. I was prescribed Cymbalta for nerve pain but ended up with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, exhaustion, dizziness, headaches, excessive sweating, bruising, emotional blunting, muscle and joint pain, brain fog, headaches, confusion, blurry vision, hair loss, weight gain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high liver enzymes and many other side effects. Cymbalta never did help with the pain. Cymbalta changed me emotionally, physically and mentally. Thankfully I finally realized that it was the medication causing everything and I tapered off it slowly. Every side effect is gone now. The group that helped me is Cymbalta Hurts Worse and it’s on Facebook. They have great information about what can help with the side effects and withdrawals from tapering off Cymbalta. I would not be where I am today without them.

  2. I would say so but talk to your doc. I’ve stopped cold turkey today and the withdrawal is awful but this is short term. I was prescribed it for pain but I feel I have worse pain and my hands hurt worse.

  3. Thank you. I take it for nerve pain and it helps somewhat, but no enough to feel like I can't keep my shit together. And the tearing skin is pretty worrisome plus my creatin and cholesterol numbers are high.

  4. Call your doctor asap, might have to change to a different medication Sounds like cymbalta isn’t working for you

  5. Thank you everyone! I've been having some other issues that I now realize could be due to this drug. And because of all ya'lls advice, I've contacted my doctor about it. Yay for apps that let you message your doctors.

  6. I’ve been on Cymbalta for a few months now and I bruise SO much easier than I used to. It actually worked well for me until maybe the last few weeks, now all my emotions seem muted if that makes sense.
