Kyleena IUD Advice needed please!

  1. I had kyleena for about 2 years and the cramping never stopped, was usually bad around ovulation and my cycle. I never got bad cramps from my period on or off birth control before that, but the kyleena made my uterus very mad. I got it removed and switched to mirena and the cramping completely stopped. Unfortunately I'm not a good candidate for IUDs though, so your results may vary.

  2. I had a similar experience with Kyleena. I had it inserted and about 14 months later I started having the worst cramps of my life around ovulation. For days, I laid in bed in the fetal position it was terrible. I got checked out and nothing was wrong but I decided to get it out because I was scared the pain would get worse and wasn’t sexually active. I’d recently moved across the country so I’m convinced that along with all of the other stressors in my life might have caused the pain and cramping on top of already having anxiety. I also have found being off hormonal birth control, my anxiety and mood swings have not been as severe - I feel a lot less crazy, emotional, sad.

  3. Thank you so much! Do you mind me asking do you feel generally better all round in yourself? I know I’m an anxious person but at this point I cry most days and the cramps have me rolling around in pain.
