Best wifi recommendation

  1. Exactly. The only thing you want from the provider is the fastest most reliable Ethernet to your router. Hilarious that the providers market WiFi - like they have anything to do with it.

  2. Fios is more expensive but totally worth it, especially if you work from home. We had spectrum pre-2015, but it was so unreliable and would always slow down in peak usage times.

  3. Pretty much anything besides spectrum LOL. What a joke they are. They signed me up for cable even though I didn't ask for it whatsoever, I'm sure someone was just looking for a sign up bonus honestly. I was paying for cable for like 7 or 8 months before I finally noticed and was like "what the hell. I didn't sign up for that." I literally WAS NOT even using it because I didn't know I had it. Spectrum even proved I wasn't using it as there was 0 hours and 0 of cable used. I spoke with a manager, explained the situation and all she said she could do was "take the cable off of the account." The cable I never asked for and was paying for without using it whatsoever. It took me a while to catch it. I thought that my bf had just decided to get a better cable plan and just kept paying it. They didn't offer any refund or any type of discount for future bills. Also, that's not even the worst problem. My cable shits itself 3-5 times a day, then I have to unplug it, plug it back in and pray it works. I've gotten three new routers and the problem still has not been resolved. So now I know that.... THEIR SERVICE/SIGNAL is just garbage. 85.00$ a month i pay for ONLY wifi and its TERRIBLE. + Unfortunately I can't get Verizon unless I want to add a landline that I don't need because "they don't cover my area." 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  4. I thought this post was about where to find the best free WiFi connection spots or open networks to mooch off of.

  5. If you want to save a few buck then Spectrum. If you need internet for work or more than 3 people then Fios. You can change between them for a better deal too. Call in and fake cancel so you can get a better price.

  6. Worked at spectrum call center last year. You actually for them can't fake cancel but but you aren't a customer with them for 30 days you get the good pricing back. So you can do fios for a year (on new customer pricing) and then switch back to spectrum and vice versa to keep the good pricing for both.

  7. i dont like spectrum. i feel like my internet goes down on a semi regular basis and good luck trying to get a hold of anyone. it's all automated and then they just hang up on you. this is just my experience tho. not sure how verizon compares. i hope what ever you choose it's the best option for you and your loved ones.
