WTF did we just go full circle? After you apes' awesome digging into the Barclays fraud, this clicked after u/extorter's Barclays ETN digging. Remember DGAZF? It was a natural gas security that short squeezed from $400 to $24000...and it was also an ETN.

  1. hey, maybe it's just some of the posts that are going in circles. could be me but at this point the millionth "dis the smoking gun WTF?!!?" rant with purely speculative connection to GME, they just do nothing for me.

  2. Yeah!!! I thought that all sounded familiar. Didn’t Barclays get banned from selling some ETN for oil and VIX too?

  3. They were also the ones with “rogue” traders doing 55 million shares worth wash sales on GME for (“rebates”).

  4. This is exactly how most volatility linked products work though. They are continuous rolled futures contracts to match the daily returns of VIX. In other words, when the futures curve is in contango (which VIX usually is), there is constant decay of the linked product (e.g., UVXY), because more expensive back month contracts are purchased relative to the less expensive front month contracts.

  5. IIRC the DTCC switched from algorithmic buying to manual buying at 95% of the float left I believe! I am looking for sauce but I remember seeing that last year somewhere

  6. I guess I've been out of the loop, but to me, this post reads like a series of news articles, and comments without any coherent link between them. Let me be blunt. What is your point? The VXX could have a short squeeze? And what's this have to do with GME?

  7. So they are using these fake assets to juice their books to avoid margin calls when necessary or always…since they control all levers of the market, they control valuation of underlying assets, and this artificial valuation keeps marge away. They are truly valuing paper in the billions.

  8. Is there a way to find out who is cellar boxing a company? Does it have to be a MM or can a B/D do it? Do they leave a trail?

  9. Barclays UK is offering a 5.12% savings account. I remember when Iceland's banks offered the best interest rates then collapsed in 2008... (I had one, then claimed the money back via FSCS).

  10. 20 days later, I'm still too smooth to understand this. How does this story reflect or draw common grounds with what's happening? :-O

  11. Don’t give a zactual fuck. BUY HODL DRS 😃🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀😀😀😀😀😀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

  12. It reverse split it didn’t squeeze. If you invested $10k in it in 2012 your investment would have never even reached $20k
