Just read the Protocol Gemini Black Paper and holy sh*t! This is what we’ve all been waiting for!! 👀🔥🚀

  1. Imagine being able to authenticate yourself on every app or website without needing to have a password for every single one and a password manager.

  2. The company I work for has the most punitive password policy. By the nature of the site, you're only going to log in 5-10 times per year at the very most. Probably more like 3 times.

  3. you are a little off on some things but the concept is mostly right. i'm really excited for nerds in apple glasses to get ran over chasing a gengar across the street though.

  4. I didn’t even consider the possibility of a PoGo model for an NFT game. If gamestop puts something like that out and it achieves anything approaching the level of popularity that pogo did, game fuckn stops for wall st my dudes. The amount of money generated would b absurd. Pogo made bank and you didnt need to spend a single dime to enjoy the full game. Imagine if you could sell your balls for ether and GS got a cut of every transaction

  5. PoGo is a cash cow too. Pretty sure I saw somewhere that it brought in a billion dollars on its own in 2021. Don’t quote me on that though.

  6. Check out Coin Hunt World. They already pay in BTC and ETH for playing a similar game as PoGo. They have a plan to make their in-game items NFTs in the future, but they aren't there yet. Love the game though!

  7. lol yea youbutchered it a little; zkproofs allow you to prove you know something (that you actually know) without having to show the thing you know, i.e. it proves that you know a secret.

  8. Ryan Kagy works for PG and Cyber Crew now and GameStop has already put out partner NFTs with Cyber Crew and Protocol Gemini

  9. Not to get political, but that ALSO sounds like it could be applied to universal background checks for private party firearm purchases, STD checks with hookup partners, and a variety of other things.

  10. This is really cool and exciting. Can’t wait for it to come to fruition. I played a lot of Pokémon go but their model is super troubling. Particularly because the fucking CI A and NS A are owners of the product haha! It’s true!

  11. Because it’s the future, undeniably. It will make a big part of todays crappy business practices irrelevant. The first big name in on it might secure a junk and profit to some degree of being the hub for this tech.

  12. I think niantic is trying to build a digital version of the real world for AR and VR purposes, that’s what the documentary on Netflix told me. Of course I expect their selling data for targeted ads as well, but there’s another good reason for it

  13. We're all screwed until they come out with a new Thundercats game, He-man game, GI Joe, Mask, a better Transformers game or New Star Wars Battlefront. At least we're getting a new Robocop: Rogue city supposedly in June

  14. I am looking forward to a future where factual reporting occurs based on evidence from very real witnesses, instead of skewed corporatist taglines that fit into a narrative.

  15. Yep, this is the future. Will lead to a decentralized "social media currency" that we can accrue and own based on the content/data we publish.

  16. Could this technology be used to make a custom AR DnD 5e game for friends that’s a scavenger hunt in my city? For the love of GameStop help me make this

  17. Adding to this. Protocol Gemini looks absolutely insane. The only thing that worries me is that I THINK they have gone down the VC funding route. If I'm wrong there, absolutely crazy loving the project.

  18. Shrike has said several times that they've turned down VC funding. As of 12/19 he said "at this stage I have to be very strategic to accomplish our goals without having to get VC funding" in the discord. So I guess it's possible at some point that it would be needed, but hasn't happened as far as I know.

  19. Buy a TQN, The Quadratic Necromancer. It's a L1 asset on Opensea and Rariable but comes with soon to be released L2 goodies. And read the Blackpaper. It explains how to invest. IE GemZ

  20. This is I think the 7th time someone writes a post about their black paper and tries to hype their stuff. This is getting sus AF

  21. How is this not related to GME? Protocol Gemini and Cyber Crew have major ties to GME and they already have a partnership in the marketplace. Not to mention Ryan Kagy now works for Protocol Gemini.

  22. Isn't Pokemon Go what the CIA/FBI uses to get maps of interior spaces? I thought that's how they got Osama Bin Laden. Didn't his kids use PoGo and mapped the whole compound?
