Special gameplay showcase announced for Hogwarts Legacy on November 11th, 2022 at 10AM PT

  1. the whole "will this be good or will it suck" situation with this game is enormous. way more so than other games because the potential is so massive.

  2. The established fan base this game is targeting is huge. I really hope it turns out to be better than expected. A proper Harry Potter wizarding game would shine so well on PS5.

  3. I dunno man to me what they’ve shown so far points to high quality… it may not be a masterpiece but I can’t imagine it will be bad. That said, if there are technical issues, that will obviously make it bad.

  4. Being a big Harry Potter fan growing up, I'm REALLY hoping this game is good becasue other than Spider-Man 2 (which will definitely be good) and any unannounced games, I haven't heard of any games coming out in 2023 that I'm really hyped for. By the end of this year I will have played everything I was really hyped for on PS5.

  5. I reckon it will be like Gotham knights, where it’s just kinda ok. I’m still really excited for the game but honestly I’m not expecting much

  6. This comment hits the nail on the head n through the damn skull infact. This game can either b a classic or a massive let down. Let's hope it's the former.

  7. I thought it was going to be online and I was really excited to play it with my friends but after reading that it's not I'm much less blinded by hype. It depends on if there's actually stuff to do around Hogwarts or if it's just a hub area

  8. Would be fun if once you do that then all the teachers start hunting you throughout the castle and you have to escape them

  9. I read all the books for the first time this summer and now that I’m at home with covid I’m watching the movies for the first time. I told myself I’d do both before this game came out because it looked really cool, but I didn’t want to be a poser lol. please don’t suck.

  10. My kids have been playing Lego Harry Potter and are reading through the series in anticipation. Even if it doesn't live up to my expectations, it should still scratch that itch more than just the Lego games

  11. Nah, I don't see it. Won't be a masterpiece but won't be a disaster - it'll be a classic 7/10. And that'll be more than enough for me.

  12. Very Doubtful, definitely not Elden Ring-like. Seems like a lot of hand-holding game techniques as shown in today's

  13. Cool. Still have a pre-order for the PS5 physical copy at £39. This will go a long way to me deciding if the pre-order remains - not that I'm doubting the developers.

  14. Bagged the same. And the £2 bonus tcb were doing that day too. Both that and the Argos cash back have paid out already even!

  15. I just want to explore Hogwarts, take in the atmosphere and listen to that amazing music we've been getting through updates. That's all I want, and everything else I'm sure will be fun too

  16. I don't want to be the buzzkill but this game has shown nothing that makes me confident it will be a great game. It just reminds me of the Avengers game, flashy trailer and VERY limited gameplay clips relying entirely on a massive franchise. Everything I've seen just seems like an average game with nothing we haven't seen before.

  17. This sounds like someone who has not actually paid attention to everything they have shown. There is a lot of game play that they have released, this is nothing like the Avengers situation.

  18. It would be nice to see a single 30m uninterrupted playthrough. What I've seen so far has been incredibly cut up into 2-3 second clips played back to back. Really makes it hard to understand what an average session would look like.

  19. if they spent half as much time on the game as they do their, trailers it's going to be awesome, spoiler, they spent even more time on the game :)

  20. Be interesting to watch this but honestly, for months now, I've had very little hope on this one. I don't think it will remotely be the wizarding game people think it will be.

  21. From what I can tell so far, the story seems to revolve around suppressing a sentient race's (goblins, the hook-nosed greedy bankers of JK's world) rebellion for self-determination, seems very on-brand for JK Rowling lol

  22. it’s from the same team who made Disney Infinity which was actually a way deeper game than people gave it credit for. I think this one’s gonna be a banger personally. It’s had enough delays and I think the devs know just how bad the Potter fandom has been wanting a video game of any kind for so long.
